I've always loved the ill-fated. Unlike games such as Space Marine where you unlock cosmetics for dying a few thousand times, you get experience with ill-fated regardless of if your ship sinks or not. Seeing a legendary ill-fated doesn't mean you've found someone who sucks, it means you've found someone who fights in ship-to-ship combat a lot. Generally people who actually suck end up giving up on PVP after enough losses in a row. Long before they unlock the ill-fated.
I ended up getting Legendary Ill-Fated from both combat And my insane habit of sailing right into storms to avoid people if I don't feel like fighting or just got a giant haul
If you have the chest one, you pour out the gold so you can sit in it to be One With The Chest. The upcoming ability to hide in a chest while someone carries you around is your fetish.
People who rock emissary banners are actual PvE grindlords. They also enjoy jumpscaring you with the sound of machinegun fire when you point your spyglass at them.
Never thought someone wold ever do ship banners steryotypes 😄. I normally use the voyager banner to look cool with my ship name and to fit its story. And yes I do have more banners.
As someone who likes using the Rogues set interchangeably, happy to hear the impression most folks with it give off is friendly. I've bizarrely never met a fellow sailor using said banners unfortunately. Then again I have notoriously horrible luck on the seas and tend to find people who are either skittish and run away, or folks who are just wanting to sink me even if I'm just fishing with no treasure on board lol.

Reaper banner user here. Can confirm, fly reaper emissary and love to hunt, I never turn from a fight unless its to come back with a keg. My crew goals are seeing how many ships we can sink in a session.
As someone who collects ships like Pokémon, I have different banners for each ship to match the aesthetic, because I'm a very cosmetic oriented player lol
I use a voyager ship banner on my main ship for 2 reasons 1. I like the sound of my ship being called a legendary voyager, just sounds good IMO 2. It's blue.
5:10 The Legendary Bone hunter jacket isn’t actually related to flameheart or his jacket in any way (we only have flameheart’s hat, eyepatch, & beard atm, along with the voice of the flame’s jacket etc aka the cursed bone set), it was literally just a jacket that has been on display in one of the clothing vendor’s stores since launch that people wanted added to the game as an actual wearable jacket👍
Hunters Call + Ill Fated. A hint towards their fate if they get near my fishin' spot. Or I just feel like hunting other ships. Fits my main two playstyles perfectly.
some of these definetly didn't line up with my experiences, i was sitting with a raised eyebrow through most of this, but then you got my Banner in 1 go haha!
My usual duo partner grinded out the various Legendary Rogue Title for his ships by going to the very edges of the map and just afk sleeping the whole time. Your stereotype for Rogue ship banners describe him pretty accurately, as he's definitely a chill guy up for a good time, but he isn't afraid about getting into a good scrap, so long as they aren't cheaters/hackers. We had some serious issues with them, especially in his native Asian server location (he lives in Japan)
I love the Sailor banner on my very plain Vanguard sails pirate ship. The green fits perfectly with the Sea Dog hull, & I think the simple sailor motifs fits with the aesthetic of my ship.
If you use the Rogue banners you're either super chill and the life of the party, a roleplayer or you're grinding Sleeping milestones to be able to buy your next ship. Seriously, guys. You get a milestone every 5 mins of sleeping. It's the easiest thing ever and just sail your ship a little bit every now and then because Rare's idle detection will notice if your ship has been sitting there for hours regardless of if you go for a walk every now and then.
I use the Skeleton Feared banner specifically because I run the Bone Crusher tattoos and the Bone Keeper title. Plus it matches the color scheme of my outfit and ship
Came here ready to get smeared for not chasing after pvp or something. I have the legendary hunter on my ship and rock the shark jaws banner, on my shrouded ghost themed ship, because I hunt megs and in 1200 hours, have exactly ONE shrouded ghost kill. You got me.
I need to get that banner for my ship at 3:51 although I have legendary fear it’s not really my thing I like being chill most of the time until u mess with me or any of my crew mates then it’s all out war win or lose
I'll be honest, I run "The Legendary Feared". However I'm not toxic and if someone runs up on me for a fight I will do my best to defend, I may not win (more often than not I'll sink)... BUT I can say I tried 😅
Exactly , DA sails mean nothing nowadays, most people I see with them I’m fairly sure are just Alliance server players because of how little PvP experience they appear to have🤝
I didn’t know you could change it till right now, I’ve been rocking the sailor all along. Now that I do know I really wanna grind out that fishing one for all the fish I fail to catch irl, maybe grinding this one out will change my luck for the better.
On my way to make sure my fishing ship has the megalodon banner because I'm a meg hunter. Ever since I came back to the game I've been hunting Megalodons in search of a ghost
I tend to use them all based on whatever Emissary I'm running alongside the rest of the associated set; Ill-Fated torches for Order of Souls, Emissary galleon for Merchant Alliance, etc. Otherwise I mainly use the Gold Seeker moneybag because the colors fit best with my ship (Royal Revenge basic sails and Grand Admiral hull). I wish the Gold Seeker flag actually aligned with the rest of the set too...the rest of the stuff is dark red/burgundy, why is the flag pink?

i go the kraken one from an intense fight for the siren skull i chased this ship to an island when he open the chest and i made a small border at the time i thought it was one person but it was 2 people i managed to deal huge damage and take down their wheel and mast 10 minutes later we were not far from the island and a kraken sunk them and then sunk me they came back for the skull but the kraken was on them so i swam up the them and stole the skull and started swimming away when i got the thingy for killing the kraken and i sold it when they were chasing me
I have a question about banners. After seeing an enemy ship or coming to your ship for the first time, a banner appears and music plays in the background. Is there any banner that plays calm music reminiscent of Wild Rose Tall Tale? I met guys with that music but unfortunately their banner was not displayed.
That's a cool remix of the shores of plenty musical stingers, did you make that yourself or find it somewhere online? Also, emissary banner users are usually hourglassers.
I use the kraken one, mainly because it matches my ships colors and theme. But the allegations are not true I have the legendary kraken hunter commendation... I might have sunk to the last kraken I killed to get the commendation but that didnt stop me from killing it.
Anyone else having issues with the banners not staying unlocked? It's kind of annoying how wverytime I get on the game I have to re-unlock the banners I've already unlocked like 4 times now. I equip the one I like and next time I get on or if I change servers it gets locked again it's very annoying.
i put different ship banners depending on my ship skin, whenever i take an emissary i put a skin and banner that match the vibe/emissary, and im considered a tryhard ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ you see me on the seas, you better know im comming for you even tho if i look like a PvE grindlord like said in the comments. Clothes don't make the man oh and i own every banner from the Pirate Emporium lol
I run legendary servant banner and have the curse full ship cosmetics too 😂 Face me if you dare lol 😂 But for real i run reaper stuff but im fairly chill j let swabbies be
