Hosted by Nick Cannon, with panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke, “The Masked Singer’' is a top-secret singing competition in which celebrities face off against one another while shrouded from head to toe in an elaborate costume, concealing his or her identity. With each performance, the host, panelists, audience, viewers and even the other contestants are left guessing who is singing behind the mask. The singers may attempt to throw off the crowd, but keen observers might pick up on tiny clues buried throughout the show. Each week, a singer is eliminated -- and then reveals his or her true identity.

How did they not guess Macy Gray? Her voice is so unique and no one comes close to even replicating her sound. Even her body moves give her away. Macy has a whatever I don't care kind of posture in her body movements. This is 100% her.

I've been guessing Macy Gray since season 1, but she's never been the one getting unmasked. It's even turned into a little joke in my household when I decide to Ken and say "I know exactly who this is!! ...Macy Gray!" As she got on stage, before the first note even started I joked "MACY GRAY!! I been waiting for you!!" So you could only imagine my jaw drop when she started followed by "OMGah! I think I'm actually right this time! It's about damn time!!" The overwhelming guesses that it's Macy Gray in all the comment sections is giving me confidence that I'm finally right and Macy Gray is finally on Masked Singer... Due to my confidence though, it's probably Wanda Sykes and I just didn't hear that tone during Bubble Guppies fintastic fairytale a decade ago 🤣

This has never been more obvious. Obviously the voice is a dead give away, but her literal Wikipedia page says: "She attended more than one high school, including a boarding school which asked her to leave due to her behavior" - the not so subtle clue from the introduction. Anyway, I'm excited to see her on the US version and I love her!
