I like to go for long weekend cruises with another couple on board. My boat has two private staterooms with private heads. This boat has 1 and a half beds in one large open space, with a shared head. Plus, it's not a fully dedicated bed, it's a convertible sofa. That means every night, I have to clear all the 'stuff' from the area (duffle bags, clothes, pillows, etc) to convert the bed. Manufacturers are failing to realize how much 'stuff' people bring aboard, and what you really need for a weekend trip. Not to mention the outrageous pricing. When will 'real' boats be back?
It's a day boat, if you want to stay over night, buy an express cruiser with a hardened bow section. Most 40fters will have a similar forward cabin and one under the mid-ship. I like this design for our family day trips, we don't stay on board of a night, so this design plays really well for us.
@@captcav767 Yes, except many manufacturers just don’t build Express cruisers anymore. That’s my point. The previous 37 Sundancer was a well appointed Yacht. This thing is a glorified bow rider for the price of a house.
+$700k starting price... this is getting absurd. The only reason the American market is supporting these outrageous prices is because coronavirus legislation allowed people to pull funds out of their 401K early. “Dealer Discount” stickers on these boats will be out on the floor by the fall.
Beautiful boat, they never give you a ball park figure, Somebody posted about 700k, and I believe it, which is ridiculous for people like me who are not stock brokers, hedge fund managers, congressmen, senators and drug dealers(all one in the same). Anyway, it is quite a boat, Would love to have it.
I agree that the average Joe (myself included) cannot afford a boat like this. But then again we are not their target audience on this segment. But to answer your question the base price is around $750,000 usd and will obviously go up as you add options. In my opinion you are far better off purchasing a good used coastal cruiser in the 40 foot range that is 10-15 years old and well maintained with diesel engines and a genset. You can easily get yourself into something along those lines for $150K-$200K which is much more doable for the average person. You can of course get a good reliable boat with a cabin for far far cheaper than that too depending on what you intend to use it for.
@@TheCkbarry thank you Chelsea, I would love to cruise the intracoastal waterway from NJ to Florida one with my wife. Thanks for your advice and I will keep doing my due diligence. You sound like you know your stuff. 👍
@@elmiguel6725 I don't know that I'd say I know my stuff necessarily but rather that I am always intrigued to learn more and we are currently in the market for a new boat as well. Our price range is in that $150K-$200K range and we have actually done some cruising on other people's yachts and taken some courses to be better prepared for when we finally find the perfect boat. We are looking in the 40-45 foot range as that is the smallest boat that will fit our family but also be easy to still find boat slips in the area our boat will spend most of it's time. We have looked at a couple of Carvers, Searays, Bluewaters and a handful of other but haven't decided for sure yet. We really like the Pilothouse style boats more but we haven't found many in our price range we like. Best of luck!
I like the big windows. With the 350, if you weren't a little person, you had to stand with the sunroof open to poke your head out to see out forward before it got onto plane.
They did not talk about the bathroom but they did show it briefly at 2:59 on the video. So to answer your question, yes it has a bathroom, the specifics of it I do not know.
Folks, Boats of this size and caliber are going to be and always have been expensive. You can still get a new Sea Ray 19' open bow for about $50K. But when you step up to this size and design the price tag is going to go up. It's always been like that even when I was selling Sea Rays back in the 1980's.
The boat as seen in this video is just over $920K. You honestly see $920K worth of value when you see this boat? No one shopping in that price range is ever going to buy this boat. You can go onto the sea ray website and build this boat to see pricing.
@A walrus I don’t think he realizes that the boat in the video... is actually priced at just over $920K US Dollars... for a 37 foot boat.. without a proper cabin. There’s a reason hull #1 has yet to sell after months sitting at marine max.
All I need now is either win the Lottery or get a 95 year old Millionaire fall madly crazy in love with me so she can leave her money to money, so I can buy this yacht!
