In this video:
I started this offshore fishing trip feeling a little sick, but that didn't bother me. It's fishing time! Kevin picked me up early in the morning and we head to Stan Blum Boat Ramp which is in Fort Pierce, Florida.
At the boat ramp I can already smell a fishy catch and cook in the air. I grew up fishing with Kevin out of the Fort Pierce inlet so this is my element. There have been lots of fishing reports of cobia in the area so our goal was 100% to catch cobia and then of course cook cobia!
We run offshore and it's already a little rough. We start by using a sabiki rig to catch bait. Don't worry this isn't a bait catch n cook. Then we move to do some bottom fishing at another location. Man do I love south Florida. Well I guess Fort Pierce is more of the treasure coast, but for my fishing channel sake let's call this South Florida. This is the South Florida Fishing Channel after all...
We start bottom fishing offshore and quickly catch some kingfish. I was having a blast catching these kingfish and already excited to catch a kingfish. Little did I know I was going to get sea sick offshore. I haven't gotten seasick in over 10 years. But seasickness was going to find me today. Don't worry I don't get seasick until later in this fishing episode. Good think I shot it in 4k HD! heh
We move bottom fishing spots again and finally get on the fish. We catch more kingfish and catch cobia. This cobia was a beast! After we catch the cobia I get sea sick but that doesn't stop me from fishing. I gaff another kingfish and pretty happy with this offshore trip.
Time for the catch and cook the first ever in 4k HD! I will be saving the kingfish for the next episode. In this catch n cook I will cook cobia and boy did it turn out yummy. Overall, this was an awesome trip but I hope I never get sea sick offshore again!
