Super observation and also very helpful that you show the size of the towel compare the body - its just what we need to figure out which size to choose. Very many thanks! As some mentioned before I also ran into the problem of unpleasant smell with a similar towel from Naturehike (was happy at first but after few uses and/or in humid condition it stinks) - based on your review I hope this will not happen with S2S towel.

Glad to help, I havent noticed the smell with mine but perhaps because I use a mild soap and handwash generally. It may be that using harsher soaps or fabric softeners may displace some part of the fabric and cause the smells that people sometimes get.

Yeah, I also use mild soap with NHike towels and mostly hand wash them, but that doesn't help. After a while with my second NH towel, I noticed that the only thing that helps is to always air dry it right after each use and don't leave it damp wherever. It also behaves badly in a humid climate and/or when a temperature outside of a tent is about + 10C - it dries super very long - almost nothing. I guess, this is a fabric issue - it's lower quality and not antimicrobial at all. I will try S2S or Matador instead, they seem to have better quality.

@@Illusia. Ah yeh could be it, I always air/sun dry my clothing and towels. Linen towels are quite good alternatives too

Glad to help, It still smells fine to me after using it for months. I always let it dry fully before packing it away and dry in the sun if possible

This is or at least is identical to a Korean fabric which I have carried for nearly twenty years as a large pocket-handkerchief. Its compactness makes it ideal for that use, I was ecstatic to see S2S sell it in towel size. The S2S version would be improved if instead of the gimmicky Camsnap bag attachment it had a simple cord loop, which could be used to attach the bag and also to secure the towel when hung for drying. I'm always afraid the thing is so light anything above a moderate wind will carry it off.

its kind of similar to other microfibre, you have to pat dry rather than rub like a cotton towel, its very effective though

Yes the airlite has replaced all my other microfibre and travel towels. it's definitely my favourite
