Class that Dan ! What a brilliant fish, quote of the video ''Some birds up there, don't know if you can see them, haven't got a clue what they are, all I know that they've got feathers and they fly'', Brilliant ! Said that to my mates many of times when I've been out drinking in the Bigg Market ! You've got all that to come Dan. Keep the video's coming and more importantly show ya Dad how it's done
I will and I think i have sorted the camera angle problem which was annoying me. Hope to see you in Rod & Tackle again. I am in there with my Dad until next Tue 🎣
That was a cracking fish Dan! I wasn't exactly sure who had who a few times during the fight but you did a superb job of bringing that fish to net. That deserves a double bacon and egg sarnie, chips and a pint. I'll be looking out for the next video. Cheers
He is still beaming marra. Fish of a lifetime and a sea trout pb he will struggle to better. He has put the graft in and deserves his reward. Cheers proud Dad 😁
I caught my sea trout on a Calvin Shrimp aluminium 1" tube. We tried the normal Tyne favourite colours orange red and black. The river was rising not long after my fish and got canny big. Tight lines 🎣 and thanks for watching my channel 👍🏻
Well done mate, great video and a cracking sea trout. Watch out for your reel overrunning when that fish runs if you dont have a decent drag on the reel. Can lead to a tangle and the reel locking up. Stick your left palm on the rim of the reel to give a little friction/drag and watch your knuckles lol. Keep em coming
My dad told me to palm the reel but did not know what he meant. I do now and I did get my knuckle rapped when it did it's big run. I have lots to learn. Thank you for watching my videos
@@flyfishingdan Aye it can be a challenge using a reel like that but I love the sound they make. I use a Youngs & Son 1540 which is my fav reel but basic and needs palming. I had a huge fish at Bardon Mill a week ago and you should have heard that reel screaming!!! Yep, Im in the same club as you
