Neighbor has a red '23 Z... holy smokes what an amazing ride. I read about rheo-magnetic damper fluid over 20 years ago in Racecar Engineering, but (I don't get out much in the car world these days) my ride in the red Z06 corrected that oversight. It was like a magic carpet ride with tremendous horsepower, braking and handling. I'm a Ford guy and a Ferarri nut but I'll tell you what: I WANT the new Z06 Corvette. That is all. Happy New Year. This is the best Corvette Chevy has ever built, and waiting to buy the car for 40 years, believe me I know. Leach Wilson Chevy in Shelbyville IL is selling me, my build of the car. Aaron is my sales rep and he, as well as the rest of the sales reps, have been awesome. They are selling my build at MSRP, and as soon as I get it I will post it on line. These guys need to be commended for being so honest, and willing to work with the customer. They are way better than any other dealer I've dealt with. Most of the dealers are out for themselves, its not that they aren't making enough money but they want to gouge for more. I had one dealer try to sell me a used Z06 that didn't have the Z07 package for over $ 210K??? Golf Mill was the worst they told me they didn't want my build that they would order what they wanted and auction it off to the highest bidder. These guys need to be boycotted.
Love the Z06, when the dust really settles in maybe 2 years they will be able to be had pre owned for about 90k which is where it is really worth, give or take.
Good luck with getting one for 90k boss, most powerful naturally aspirated V8 of any mass-produced car.... in the coming age of only fully electric or hybrid configurations coming from major sports and super car manufacturers. I highly doubt it, but we'll see. Just like a 10 year old Viper now goes for over MSRP, this car might follow suit. However, the Viper was discontinued for the time -being so there's that as well.
I am having a C8 delivered tomorrow here in Florida, I bought at Friendly Chevrolet in Minnesota for 3k under sticker. They had a ZO6 they sold for sticker also. I have a Chevrolet dealer 3 miles from my house, they had a c8 1LZ for 20k over sticker, a ZO6 for 100k over. No thanks. If you look online and shop around you can find many for sticker.
Lance heres the truth. While its a nice car and i have the 70th z06 i ordered. It is NOT worth any more money over msrp PERIOD. It will go down in value PERIOD. WTF are car dealers doing is wrong.
