Every time our family visits SeaWorld, we learn something about the marine life and we truly enjoy seeing how the whales, dolphins, sea lions perform. It is very educational and a great place to spend time as a family.
Thank you so much for this in depth guide! I love your travel guides especially ones that involve traveling with toddlers. Heading to SD next week and Japan next month so Ive been watching a lot of your uploads
that contrasts to what another sailor told me when he was an assistant trainer at sea world. He joined there because he had experience in that type of work in the navy, but left because his boss was racist, so knew he was never getting any promotions and the pay was poor.
I found the annual passes to be good value - it includes a few free tickets per year, has free parking, and that sky ride that is $6 for most is actually free for annual pass holders
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I LOVE SEA WORLD!!! WHEN I WAS YOUNER WE WENT A LOT MORE. I WOULD LOVE TO VISIT AGAIN IN THE FUTURE. I LOVE ALL OF THE INNOVATION!!!! GREAT VIDEO AND THANKS FOR SHARING!!! SOMETHING TO CONSIDER.
Hi Chris. Thanks for the Sea World Tour. Lots of activities for everyone to enjoy. I don't think the Sky Ride is lame. Looks like you can have a great view of the area. Take care.
The rides look quite interesting! I remember seeing one of them from afar when I was driving to Ocean Beach back in August during my trip to San Diego.
Beautiful post Chris you have a beautiful daughter.I was there in 1996 while on vacorion with my mum from the UK on a 2 wk stay in Anaheim in L.AThankyou for another interesting video.
I know Sea World is quite a controversial theme park, but one can’t deny the fact that it could be quite entertaining, too. Still, I think especially Orcas are too big to be confined to such small quarters/tanks. Thanks for the tour and your tips.
slavery used to also be "controversial" but you can't deny it was profitable. In my book , humans have a moral responsibility to be kind stewards to the animals of the world, so you are either part of the problem , or against it. It's not like Santa , a harmless fictional situation for kids to enjoy, these are intelligent animals with family structures.
Can you tell me how much day tickets are if you are just coming for one day please in June? Also what days are the least busy? Do they have picnic areas so you can bring your own food with you? Love the travel vodeos Chris. Thanking You Hazel
Great video Chris, the spunky princess looks like she had a blast, one thing, be careful eating at SeaWorld, the seagulls will dive bomb your food, (speaking from experience)
SeaWorld is a classic growing up in San Diego, but ever since they started building the new large rollercoasters, the park itself has gone downhill compared to 8-10 years ago. By the way, I recently just came back from an 8-day trip to Istanbul, Turkey with my family! It was an amazing trip; we did so much walking especially on the hills that the city is built on; you can't avoid the hills. Besides the touristy parts, we discovered so many hidden gems and witnessed how the locals lived and what they ate/did, which is the best part of going somewhere. I highly recommend Istanbul, a timeless city
Another great vid 🤙🏽👌🏽. Off topic, pretty sure it ain’t my wifi or data, but does anyone else experience lagging when watching videos on YT? 🤔 even on this video it’ll do the same thing
I had no problem viewing RU-vid using an apple laptop and spectrum wireless internet. My computer does occasionally print, outside the viewing screen in the top left, when viewing RU-vid, that this application is using significant power and my computer will be faster without this app, but I have never noticed any performance degradation. I do get the occasional rare glitch viewing TV over the internet, which seems to be a bad initial loading of the program , and just needs a reset.
Blackfish is full of false claims and has been disproven. they are very well cared for at SeaWorld and are non-releasable. here is your proof drive.google.com/file/d/1dZhue-pLH1BeBPosWGwtBTZhN6RdoheV/view?usp=sharing
We are planning to go to sea world in the next couple weeks. We want to stay close to sea world What hotels are good and close to park. We want to walk if possible. And is that safe to do?
looks like the grumpy princess enjoyed herself .I don't know how to feel about these prisons for seal life ,and also places like Zoos. I haven't been in one in years. When i lived in San Diego many years ago I did enjoy the zoo and Seaworld .It seemed to be so much more affordable then and yet although I was working I didn't have much extra income .Seaworld on-line is affordable but not $30 for parking. I hear Disneyland also charges for parking. an OC girl must have a substantial income to afford your basic needs, eating out and travel.
Yeah. I think Sea World just follows Disneylands parking prices. As Disneyland ups it's price (also $30) then Sea World just follows. Having grown up in San Diego I honestly liked Sea World more when it really was just Sea Life focused. All the thrill rides just seem weird. But I'm sure their business analysis says people will pay big bucks for roller coasters, and not for Dolphins.
Theres a platinum pass avail for $262 that includes all 11 parks managed by seaworld (SeaWorld San Diego, Sesame Place San Diego, SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, SeaWorld San Antonio, Sesame Place Philadelphia, Aquatica Orlando, Adventure Island, Water Country USA and Aquatica San Antonio)
I went once, before I realized how they abuse the animals to make them preform. At the time I went my only objection was the incredibly punishing sound levels used at the shows, and once was enough. later, when I was working on merchant shipping between Seattle and Alaska , the citizens of Seattle prevented them from kidnapping whales from the local family pods that the citizens had enjoyed for generations, by regularly viewing them from the edge the sound. I saw them myself when out bike riding, and witnessed a mother pointing them out to her child in a baby stroller. So then, after failing to get the easy pry, the sea world organization sent out a message to all the ships in the area, disguised as scientific whale population research , asking for reports of whale sightings. at sea. The truth was they only wanted to find whales to take from their family pods, so that they might imprison them back at sea world and keep them hungry so they do tricks for food. The park is deathly afraid of losing their meal ticket of performing whales, but is trying to transition to a tourist attraction with rides. I only knew about the phony "whale study" because I had read about it in the local Seattle papers, because a wildlife society's objection made the news, because of the fondness for the local whales . The message received at the ship had no mention of Sea World at all, it was just pure deception. I realize that some animals have jobs, and have to work for a living, but those roles should only be for domestic animals, not wild creatures that suffer in captive conditions. there are plenty of things to do in "America's finest city" without supporting animal cruelty, because it truly is a fine wonderful place. Consider that, after all , there is a reason why every once in a while a whale will kill a trainer, when in the wild, living naturally they are only known to kill for food. Last time I read of the average life span of a captive whale, it was three three years on average, I hope that has been improved as captivity becomes more sophisticated, but it does explain the lengths some will go to for animals to replenish their shows.
Yes. Sea World is really expensive. And the average daily admission ticket is actually much more. But it varies depending on the season and how busy it is
It's very difficult to find award availability at that Hyatt Regency so I usually end up staying at the Grand Hyatt to go to SeaWorld. There will also be some seasonal things at SeaWorld that are on the weekends only which means that the Andaz in the Gaslamp Quarter also won't have award availability when I want to go...
Sea World’s food is, sadly, quite lousy (Shipwreck Rapids cafe is probably about the best, but it’s quite mediocre and it’s overpriced) and it’s always been that way the thirty years I’ve been a local
