Man you have patience like no other. I want you to be the guy who watches the nuclear codes. lol . I purchased this same seadoo and mine too is not going over 6100. So I am going to try cleaning my rave valves and replacing the o rings on them.
You might think im crazy but the old style power valves on the ski doo snowmobiles worked off pressure with an adjustable spring and they worked great so in theory as long as they bolt up and dont hit the pistons id try it , my buddy has PWC and all his sea doo have the old style power valves and run good 🤔🤔
Nice work. I appreciate your persistence on identifying problems and testing for solutions on the DI’s. In your rebuilds of the DI’s, have you ever done 1mm over bores to get more power or speed out of one? What’s your thoughts on a good reliable top end rebuild and bottom end parts supplier for DI’s.
I have done 1mm over before but never for the purpose of more power or speed. It was done because I could not go any less to get rid of the cylinder wall damage. As for Parts I use various different suppliers. Ebay is a good place to start. I also look for local guys selling their damaged ski so then I have a ton of parts on hand.
I lnow from experience from working on snowmobiles that have power valves that they do wear out and need to be replaced!! Being cheap on cost you more time and money in the long run!!
Absolutely..This machine has been a nightmare for having to replace parts. I think just about every part has been replaced at this point. I have an 8,000.00 in parts ---- 4,000.00 value machine now. :)
The machine has to be in the water to get a definitive diagnosis. There is no resistance on the pump when out of the water. So many times I hear it runs fine on the hose but won't rev up in the water..or won't start.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tgjjiDTWxqY.html These guys drilled a hole inside the rave housing, to use exhaust vacuum to open the rave valves rather than the solenoid . And in the cover to visually see the rave working at will.. What do you think of this mod ?
Are you located in Ontario, Oregon? Looking for a local place to help out on diagnosis on my 2002 GTX Maintenance Light issues, also have a matching 2002 RX that could use a good once over. Thanks, Matt
@@jeffberner3102 Nothing on 4 strokes yet. The market is so messed up. You buy a blown up 4 stroke for 3500 and then you need to put another 3k into it to get it going.
