Now Carly is indeed the Clam Chowder connoisseur! I've recommended y'all do a compilation video of the best pizza restaurants but Carly should do a Clam Chowder compilation of the best of the best! All y'all's food looked delicious and those shrimp did look spectacular! Them tiger shrimp, never had them but would love to try em sometime as YUGE as they are bet they are packed with flavor! I really don’t remember seeing this when we were on the Carnival Magic, but then again, we never eat at any of the extra places. There’s so much good food included in the cruise that we’ve just never checked out the speciality areas. I can see why you tried the seafood. That shrimp looked outstanding. And Carly was able to get her favorite clam chowder. If we ever get to cruise again, will definitely have to check out The Seafood Shack. Definitely worth the extra fee. Thanks for sharing.

It's the only place with the extra fee that tried out. Being seafood, we had to try it. All 3 of the dishes were delicious. David was disappointed that they didn't have the warm lobster roll with butter. It never looked super busy to us.

The shrimp was excellent. In fact all of the items we had from the Seafood Shack were tasty. We don't normally do the places that you have to pay extra for because there is just so much food on the ship. But because this was suggested by a viewer we thought we would try it. The prices were reasonable. We did enjoy our cruise.

If y’all ever get a chance to visit Ct, Massachusetts or Rhode Island you will definitely be able to tell the difference in seafood. It always was baffling to me that Floridas seafood was very mediocre to me.

I buy the Fishermen's Wharf brand easy peel shrimp from Winn-Dixie here. They come in 16-20 count per pound. Which is what yours seemed to be. They sell on sale 6.99 per pound. Their pound has twice as much if not more than what you were served. That looked like 1/2 pound at the most. They looked good but didn't give you a decent pound. Scale or no scale. Everything looked great as did the shrimp. I was just taken back by your shrimp portion. Thanks for another great review. Keep them coming. 👍👍😊😊🍤🍤🍤

I am with you 100% about the portion size. We fix shrimp at home too. Whenever we order a pound out we always think it looks less than a pound. We are thinking we may take a scale with us and weigh them next time we go out to eat and order shrimp by the pound. It would be interesting to see. The shrimp was outstanding and cooked perfectly. 11 minutes since publication... 10 upvotes... 49 Views. YT says 2 comments already, but none showing! 29 likes and 163 views, 30 minutes after publication... This was another good one! Cruise ship food seems to be almost universally good. Only bad meal I've had at sea was going from Ostende, Belgium to Dover, England. Not surprised at the Clam Chowder in the "extra-cost" venue being the same as in the "included" facility. Why re-invent the wheel? Interesting to note how stable the ship was in the production of both of these clips. Every time I've been at sea, I was always very aware of the motion of the ship. God Bless!

Thanks John! This was the calmest water of any cruise we have been on. The motion was detected slightly during the whole trip. We have been on cruises before and you have to hold onto the walls as you walk. lol

How fun! How long were you cruising? Love steamed shrimp too and I also LOVE clam chowder but I do love mine extremely thick and creamy ☺️👍 As I was watching this I had a terrific idea for a future colab for us!! How about we have a Dan vs David crab eating contest?! 🤣🤩😂😎👍 🦀 We have whole crabs every summer and Dan can sit for like an hour and a half picking apart crabs and eating all the meat out AND the ones we get are covered in Old Bay! Maybe someday - if he likes crab, it would be awesome! 👏

Our cruise was 6 nights. The steamed shrimp was fantastic! David loves crab legs (Snow Crab Legs). Dan might could teach David how to pick apart the crabs. I know David is such a crab leg lover that he would enjoy it. Dan just needs to know David can kill some crab legs. lol Love the idea!

@@vafunseekers thx, we ordered it from tx, the guy held it for ransom and jacked the price up to drop it at our house, vs the agreed price, lol. we tried to avoid that and picked the top company to do it, but it is what it is. we are going to take it to myrtle this fall for bike week and are staying a full 2 weeks, so i will get my fill of capt georges, lol.

Carly had lots of clam chowda on our Florida trip. According to her she liked the clam chowder best at DJ's Clam Shack and on the cruise. At home we buy a Clam Chowda suggested by a reviewer called, "New England Clam Chowda". We have found it in the seafood department of Harris Teeter and Publix. Since we don't have one of these stores in our area, we will buy it and freeze it. Thanks for watching!
