They put it out to private tender for any works or contracts and don't even check any work done. Gone are the days we're thay had their own work force with all works checked.
@@mirandamcmanus2097 That is the problem right there, they think it will save going to contractors but it does not. All they need is a small team of maintenance men per area and they could do wonders.
Only starting watching u billy! And u have a new subscriber here ! I also appreciate the love u have for the forgottens! I was homeless for 6 and a half years! Got my place eventually and now have full custody of my daughter! ✌️ from across the pond 🇮🇪
Im glad you uploaded this billy some of my family way back moved to seaforth from east london for work in the docks there. As you know east london back in the day was docks. I come from a long line of thames lightermen. Nice to see where they moved to and made home.
So many propertys in different areas of liverpool that could be bought for next to nothing and made into accommodation (and alot of other cities/surrounding areas)
It’s the greedy council who will try and get as much money for run down properties as possible without spending a penny. They’re only interested in Liverpool City Centre and outlying areas get left to go to crap.
@@grahamw6503 I criticised the council and my comment is removed, RU-vids removal of comments using AI is not fit for purpose. I’m not swearing or saying anything nasty it’s annoying.
Jesus Billy this place is depressing and dare i say its considerably worse than i remember. England and all its suburbs are broken beyond repair...alas.
Yo Billy . Love the content keep it up next time you’re in Manchester you should make a video in the Manchester red light district behind Piccadilly Station / St Andrews Street area just a suggestion 😅
Seaforth was a lovely place back in the day, then it was split in half with the road to the docks. Look up the army barracks and old police station, the Americans were stationed at the barracks back in the day, my mum was from Caradoc road in Seaforth. Keep up the great vids mate 👍
Nice one Billy I,m really enjoying all your videos, seems this country's been left to rot. I,m currently saving up to get a new set of railings and was wondering if you could let me know the details of your mate in Turkey. 😁
What happened to England? Has the entire UK become a 3rd world country? They call Broken Britain, and my heart is certainly broken because of what has happened to my beloved England. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UWuBW8c0C_o.html
Would be interesting if you went to the Webster triangle in Wavertree, to see if the £1 house scheme had made a difference to the area as it was derilict before
The derailict houses in Welsh streets that peaky blinders used them to film the early series If they wouldn't of used them would of been knocked down. Bought and referb some sold some went for rent with houseing association. They should of never knocked down the rows and rows of victorian houses in the 60s and 70s just needed modernising.
Awrite Billy, just recently found your channel and love your content. You seem like a really down to earth decent guy. I'm in recovery myself after 25 years of addiction, now 5 years 2 months clean and loving life again. You really are an inspirational figure and you genuinely give hope to people. All the best to you and yours 🙏👍👊👍
Evening Mr Moore, you should make a complemation of all your films and make sure that someone at Liverpool Council or Sefton Council see it, plus all the local Members of Parliament, who are all Labour, not forgetting all your films from around the U.K., you keep up the good work my friend and show life the way it is for millions of people in the U.K. thank you.
..looks a very rough area ..its great that the people stop and say hello which shows you there's neighbourly respect they look out for each other 🙂 ...awesome upload again billy 👌✌🤟 ..your will smith impression was cool bro 😂
Yesss Billy Lad. Just watched A Prayer Before Dawn and what a film also shout out to Joe Cole who was unbelievable in it. True inspirational film and shows that in any situation you can make it out however hard the circumstances are.
The street featured during the first half of the video would, up until the early 1970s, have been a real hive of activity. However, the construction of the nearby Princess Way dual carriageway ensured that its importance was to decline markedly. Seaforth was once a desirable locale. Prior to expansion of the docklands, beaches extended southwards beyond Waterloo. The waterfront here was overlooked by grand houses, including Seafield Convent and a Seaforth Hall. I feel that the authorities now see the area as little more than an inconvenience - a place which they would happily see flattened in its entirety, in order that further room might be made for development at the port.
You need to do a video on the services for familys of addicts, loads of great resources in Liverpool and Manchester now. Its come on leaps and bounds xx
Just finished your book Billy...fascinating life you had. Had tears in my eyes many parts of the book. Quoting Shakespeare every chapter, nice touch. Looking forward to watching the movie. I'm from Liverpool and live in runcorn. Watched the runcorn video few weeks back😂😂😂shit hole. Needs knocking down and rebuilt. Keep the videos coming.
spent sometime there years back it was almost identical to the situation billy showed. stayed in one of them flats (churchill) they had sound structure with good views from the upper floors the boozers claremont and doric were open then. can't understand why they pulled them flats down as they were due for renovation. agree with him good folks around there.
You only done one half of seaforth, the main road princess way, cuts seaforth in half. You need to do the other side. It leads into Waterloo from there.
😂😂 Billy your like “ Wheres Wally” your going to have to change your channel to wheres Billy, love the way you get around to all the different places 🤣🤣 is there anybody who doesn’t know our Bill 🤣🤣 Brilliant as Always 🤗
Use to be much nicer round there not too many years ago. That general store is good, i got my washing line from there, looked everywhere for traditional washing line not that plastic c***ap and that gent was the only place i could find it. There used to be two of them towers next to each other the demolished the other a while ago they tried to blow it up but failed, that one is going too.
It’s a close nit community is Seaforth, that’s the old post Office Depot that building, that high rise been empty for well over 10 years, a lot residents do respect the area but some don’t
The 60s council high rise in towns and city's. Eather left to rot then say cost to much to referb knock them down sell off the land. Or private investors who see the potential in them buy referb and sell them at a high price for each flat and make a lot of money.
From growing up round there to seeing it now on this video I can say them high rises will more than likely still be there for another 10 years was abandoned when I was like 17-18 and now 31
I know this sounds a bit weird and a bit up my own arse ,ive lived in some ruff places .But these places you go if i had a day out at southport i just wouldnt want too drive home ,
Nuce sunaet there Billy.... wyf wont tge councils pay to sort those flats out for our homeless, yet theyll happily pay millions to put up in hotels, immingrants???
