Either he deliberately misquoted that section or law, or he is ignorant of that section of law e.g: Section 38 of the Port Of Liverpool General Bylaws 2021: Prohibition of Certain Acts (a) No person shall without Permission distribute or post leaflets, papers, notices or advertisements, take any photograph or make any drawing, sketch, film, video recording or painting within the Dock Estate. This refers to within the dock estate. However, DJ was not within the dock estate, he was outside the Dock estate; therefore, Section 38(a) is irrelevant.

The cop wanted to show authority from the start. And as usual they say I don't want to argue because that's training kicking in. But they do argue and cause the interactions with the public. Nothing has changed in policing in 50 years. And he would have been allowed on if he was in the lorry. All the usual bollocks from police and management.

Port Police are not regular police. Byelaws cover their main role. Security of the Port. A regular police officer wouldn’t be versed in these powers. They do wear a uniform but mainly deal with Security. A more educated SIA holding a Warrant Card. Hence having powers of arrest

Unless the owner of the truck company gives specific permission for the driver to have a passenger the insurance becomes invalid. Couple of hgv drivers in my family all have to abide by the passenger rule. So select an owner driver😂

We used to be able to get a yearly permit from Peel’s main building to enter the port. fishermen had rights to go on port land by seaforth dock entrance. then our lovely labour gov at the time restricted the freedom to access the mersey dock wall and the port itself by bringing out the port security law. To be honest at the time the docks had been left to rot and and large parts of it were not used. peel holdings decide there is more money in building apartment’s with seafront views at a premium price. the unused parts of the dock system was filled in, the new everton football club is being built and will joined by lots of apartment’s only few can afford.

i live 1 minute away from there in seaforth....wish i knew you was a round lol....and there no restrictions what so ever...the other side is looking onto the beach and you can fly drone from there and still see your drone at those gates from there...i had loads of drone footage of the docks😅🤣

Great video and view of the port facility. 👍⭐⭐⭐ Under Part VI, admission to the Dock Estate Section 28 states person to inform port representative (security) if asked, does not specify no admission; Section 38(a) is no photography on Dock Estate (not Section 32 as stated at 8:41) in the 2021 Byelaws. They always ignore the dash cam question.

Section 32 of the bylaws @ 8:42 reads: Gas, Water and Electricity No person shall without the prior written approval of the Company make a connection to any gas or water mains or electricity cables within the Dock Estate. Maybe he is trying to refer to section 38 Prohibition of Certain Acts (a) No person shall without Permission distribute or post leaflets, papers, notices or advertisements, take any photograph or make any drawing, sketch, film, video recording or painting within the Dock Estate. Sad to see the police failing to properly inform the public correctly, it appears to be an epidemic of police not knowing what they refer to.

Used to be a regular run with the Alantic Conveyor Container ship, think the other is the ATlantic Voyager,when that's in they'll bring loads of yank collectors/classics + ship out those Range Rovers to the States.I've imported a couple of Chevy trucks, landed here as a local, always look for the Alantic Ships when I drive past,some lovely yank vehicles come ashore.

The Port of Liverpool police are fully warranted police officers, as are the MSC police and are employed by a private company, Peel Holdings. Peel acquired the former Mersey Docks and Harbour Board and the Manchester Ship Canal company for a song but also took on a substantial debt burden. They have made huge profits from the vast amount of land they inherited by innovative re-purposing (using various grants and other peoples money) When I was a Birkenhead Borough plod back in the 60's we policed the Birkenhead docks as they were owned by the Borough.

We are, and we're insured to have passengers, but on the other hand a company can ask if the passenger awaits outside of property we're delivering too, Felixstowe docks on the other hand access to passengers is limited unless they (the passenger) obtains a pass 😉

Peel Holdings ruined our fishing from the rocks and Alex wall. They took over, we used to pay to go on but then they made it so hard for you to visit and fish. I gave up in the end. I respect what you do DJ and love watching but to be fair to the PC he was right to say you couldnt go in to the port because when you went to the other gate it said it was restricted and therefore in the end you didnt go inside so it made no sense at all, the PC walked away in the end because he was wasting his time trying to advise you as you wasnt listening but my point is you did all that but never went in knowing in the end the PC was right you muppet lol🤣

The Port Of Liverpool General By Laws 2021 section 38 (a) indeed refers to the taking of photographs, however does go onto state that it applies within the dock estate. If someone is not within the dock estate and takes photographs of the dock estate from outside of the dock estate that does not constitute an offence under this by law.

Facial recognition to obtain a persons name won't work unless that persons name and photo are already in the database. So if you've never been arrested, they will never know who you are. But they could use the image to track your physical location.

@8.43 Within The Mersey Docks and Harbour Company Limited's Port of Liverpool General Byelaws 2021, Byelaw 32 states _"No person shall without the prior written approval of the Company make a connection to any gas or water mains or electricity cables within the Dock Estate"_ It is Byelaw 38(a) which states _"No person shall without Permission distribute or post leaflets, papers, notices or advertisements, take any photograph or make any drawing, sketch, film, video recording or painting within the Dock Estate"_ - a byelaw which is contravened by (say) any persons using a vehicle fitted with a camera (dash-cam). Not sure I agree at all with you - almost every port area I have seen around the world is treated as a form of restricted zone that you can only access with permission or a pass card. I see no issue with flying over of course, but walking in is restricted in every port I have seen.

Dashcams are fitted to vehicles for security and insurance purposes generally. On what planet do you think people or businesses are not objecting to your work. Policeman was direct and to the point, no problem at all with him.Frauditors dont like it when they are schooled.

I may be wrong, but, didn't Microsoft ban the US police from using their facial recognition technology. I'm sure that was followed through world wide, for privacy reasons
