Swapping BIOS does work and saved my data. To get the platter unstuck on the arm reader, find the screw in the middle of the hard drive that might be connected to it and then unscrew it and that's it. If it works, screw it back on a little tight. Do not open the hard drive or that's it.

Thank you for this informative video! I have a Seagate Barrucuda 3TB (ST3000DM001) which stopped being recognized and will not mount...however, it seems to spin normally and does not make any strange noises. Does this imply a bad PCB, or a different problem instead?

Hi from brasil. i've got an ideal. why don't u simply *_dessolder_* the chip on the bad board and then solder it on the good board? i think it would work fine! 👍😆

Hi I have a hardisk with the Rom (Bios burned - in the sense that PCB's rom is missing) Reason I had buying a card to do the swapping but the repairman lost the original card) Do you think it is possible to recover my Seagate Hardisk?
