One of the great Fighters of World War 2. Fast, well armed and a great dog-fighter. If France had not been overrun in May 1940 D520 would have become as famous as the Spitfire, Me109, P-51 and the Yak-9. If France had these aircraft available in large numbers then the French campaign may well have ended differently. The Germans took over anythey could and past them onto the Italians and Bulgarians, the Bulgarians used them against US B-25 Liberators heading for Ploesti (Spelling) in Rumania
This particular aircraft is in Vichy French colours. Some of these were flown against the British and Americans during Operation Torch (The landings in Morocco and Algeria) in 1943

Je suis arrivé aujourd'hui 25 cc moteur à essence + 16x10 hélice et je m'envole accélérateur assez complet. L'avion est trop lent. 0,90 à 15 cc à quatre temps a 10000 RPM, et que mon essence, seuls 7200 rpm. C'est probablement le problème. Même si, je vous remercie. Vol succès!
