As a niner fan i appreciate your study of the game. No bias no hate, just pure enjoyment of the game. Good luck to you guys this season, im getting excited for the upcoming battles. Lets go!
@@daviddwatson127 I’m glad he’s gone too. I liked him and hated that he was a Seahawks! lol I think he is gonna be back in a big way this season in PIT. Just my prediction.
@@GiantSFaithfuLHis stats last year in Denver were actually pretty good. It was the rest of the team that sucked and they put the blame on Wilson. - 49er fan who appreciates good football players
I’m so glad you’re actually watching the highlights on Brock on how they should be watched! As a second year player, first year starter he’s been making plays not many could do! I hope you do a 2nd part because they just get better from where you stopped!
@@BigR365 And consider.. This is Brock's first full off-season as a starter going into training camp. All 2023 leading up to camp he was rehabbing from surgery to repair damage to his UCL incurred in the 22\23 NFCCG. Not even a mention {as far as I know} for comeback player of the year.
@@flatplaneoregon4605yeah that was bunk. Maybe because he was so good year before as well. We all know that if he doesn't get his elbow shredded in that Philly game be probably go to that superbowl. They proved last year who the bully's were. They completely melted the Eagles down and you could say destroyed their season. They fell apart after that game and looked like the bullies before it.
im a die hard 9er fan and I appreciate you fam. obviously its big rivalry between the birds and 9ers but after decades of watching ball you just come to appreciate those rivals so much. good luck to yall post pete carroll era, that man was something else
As a niner fan I’m expecting a big season out of Brock this year. most people forget this will be his first full/healthy offseason as QB1 to actually train and get reps. I remember Brock also saying his repaired elbow didn’t start to feel “normal” till the later half of the season.
Pat Mahomes is 6'2" 225lbs Brock is 6'1" 220lbs They are pretty much the same size but for some reason people act like Purdy is 5'5" and Mahomes is 6'6"😂
@@BigR365 I thought he was smaller too if I'm honest but I kinda realized it during the build up to the SB when they were standing next to each other. On another note you should definitely do a part 2. It's nice to see someone break down things who isn't bias one way or the other.
It's because Brock is actually 6 feet 5/8 inch and Mahomes is 6'2 on the spot, and purdy has very short arms (literally in 1 percentile of arm length) so he doesn't look "long"
I always look forward to your enthusiastic 49er breakdowns. Keep up the informative breakdowns. Brock is special, we lucked out taking him at 262. After broken ankles to Trey and Jimmy, things got Purdy special and life changing for the 3rd string rookie. We're witnessing perhaps the greatest Football story of all time? See you all in 15 yrs.
Loved the highlights and breakdowns. Left impressed with a rival fans ability to love the game and be objective. Brock deserves the love, he's played incredible since day one. Cheers from NorCal 🍻
Just subbed to you, I see a lot of people reacting NFL stuff, but you're the first that despite someone being a divisional rival, clearly just loves ball and you're breakdowns have helped me understand some of the nuances that aren't normally explained in commentary. Also, not a niner guy, I am from the UK, and we love an underdog, and you can't get any more underdog than the last guy picked in the playground to be on a team, that guy normally just stood around and scratched himself. Brock went nuts in his first start against the GOAT, and hasn't stopped since.
Yea I personally agree I can’t hate on Brock for the same reason why you like him! Last pick normally don’t even make the final 52 man cut he’s special
@BigR365 Mate, I just love the sport. I grew up a Washington fan, yeah I know, who would even admit to that shit, but, when I first started watching, it was Theismann, Monk, Riggins and Green (I still remember him chasing down Dickson and preventing a certain TD). MY thanks, really is the explanations of 21 and 22 man, because lots of people say it, but you're the first that has actually explained what it means., and yes, I could have Google that before, but back in the day the WWW wasn't a thing and NFL isn't my first sport, and who has the time? It is also your breakdown of the routes and play calling, and it somehow makes it even better when someone who clearly knows the game very well, suddenly goes "well fuck, that was amazing" (paraphrase) because it shines a light on just how great this game is, especially if your willing to, despite the division thing, just love ball for being good ball.
I’ve been a Niner fan since 87 and I have the up most respect for you champ for keeping 💯 on your assignment of the things the media try to avoid ! Much love and good luck this season Genuinely ! Let’s Rock Brock He Cooking 🧑🍳 Chef BP !
Props for taking the time on rival content. It’s nice to see Brock get some flowers. Everyone mostly brushes him aside cause he’s another Shanny QB but dude can ball. Not saying he’ll be an all time great yet, but he gives off Drew Brees vibes.
Good lookin out. I was some of the thumbs on those request comments. I appreciate anyone who not only knows football, but isn't afraid to give players praise where praise is do for well played football, regardless of the team they are on, especially even when it's not your favorite team. Keep it real. 🏉☯️ MVPurdy 5k🎉 BA2k🎉
Hawks fan here! Gotta give credit where credit is due. Purdy is a damn good Qb. I obviously don't like the 9ers but saying Purdy is only good because he is "carried by his offense" is just delusional at this point. 9ers fans, you found your guy.
Purdy’s acceleration is actually insane. He’s not fast by any means but he can reach his top speed almost instantly which helps him a lot. His awareness, anticipation and pocket presence are some of his strongest attributes too and you never see him lose confidence when the team is struggling. His mental fortitude is tough. Hoping he keeps up the level of play he’s shown so far. Oh and one more thing. Shanahan has so much faith in him and it shows. There were a lot of times where Shanahan let Purdy stay on the field to go for it when he would’ve called the field goal unit out to go for 3 with Jimmy G. You never saw Shanhan trust Jimmy G to go for it unless the game was on the line and we had no choice.
Much respect to this guy. Glad to finally see someone breaking down Brock Purdy’s game. Dude is an assassin on the field. He will be getting paid for sure. Great video.
Just to be clear, he had that MVP caliber year without an offseason, while playing injured. He was still rehabbing roughly halfway thru the season. Let that sink in.
One thing that I can say about Brock Purdy is that he spent so much time watching film because he knew he was Mr. irrelevant but he also knew that he had the mechanics he had what it took to be a quarterback he needed to learn the system and know it better than anybody and that’s what he did and he focused on understanding Kyle Shanahan‘s playbook as good as kyle does.
A SeaHawks fan who earned my respect via his knowledge of football ??? Never thought i see the day. Well done sir, great video. Love it. Go Brock and Go 9ers.
My man, I enjoyed your reaction. As a niner fan I even respect you wearing your Seahawks cap, because your breakdown, dissection and joy of the game, is no cap! ❤
Watched every second of this video and can't wait for the pt 2. As a Niner fan its refreshing to see someone give Brock the props he deserves. To me dude is Drew Brees 2.0 with more motility.. oh but he has a mid arm and he isnt fast. Well.... he has literally everything else.
The crazy thing is that his arm wasn't yet 100% at this point in the season (till around December or so). He was still rehabbing from the heinous injury he received 8 months before. This guy is really good and people love to talk shit about him. I can't quite understand why.
Hey, BigR! On that play starting at 15:15, with the fake jet sweep from McCaffrey and the fake to Deebo, I don't think you mentioned this, but you can see Brock dropping back after he fakes to Deebo, and his dropback is like a left-handed QB's dropback, but it allows him to sell the fake better, and he is able to flip his hips back around and then throw to Aiyuk. He's done type of thing a few times already in his young career. Amazing that he can drop back like that when he's right-handed in situations where he needs to in order to sell the run-fake, etc., but he can still flip his hips around and flip them quick enough to get back on platform for a throw.
Good to see a seahawk give credit where its due. Brock is really good. If he can keep limiting turnovers and stay healthy, the sky is the limit. I hated yet admired Russel’s game style for years because he was so good lol. Couldn’t stand him, but man was he great in his prime.
I am glad you are not like the other fans that react with simple, he's trash comments. as a life long fan, I rally like what I see in Brock. He reminds me of Drew Brees, who I loved to watch play. This year will be a huge year for the kid. if he can maintain and or improve, the Niners will be a dangerous team for a long time.
Yeah brother man, as a forty niner faithful I appreciate your insight and understanding unbiased information on someone other than your team. Maybe Geno can elevate now that Old man Pete is gone.
People like to say Brock isn’t elite. I’m still on the fence, because he still hasn’t really played that much, but three things I can say is elite based on what we’ve seen is 1. His anticipation, 2. His footwork, and 3. His speed within 10 yards. His 10 yard split is 1.55 seconds, which is only .03 seconds slower than CMC. Those three things have made him the most dangerous QB the 9ers have had in a long time. His accuracy is crazy too.
The part that seems to get glossed over the season he had last year was Brock didn't have a normal off-season.. he was recovering from elbow surgery and couldn't start throwing till training camp and even then he was on a throw count for the first few weeks. I really want to see what kind of season he can put together after having a full off season to work ... Though man if he levels up again this season we paying him a crap load of money.
Watched him play in college and knew the team that got him would have a good QB on their hands. Fully expected him to sit behind an experienced QB1 for a few seasons then take over. For him to do what he's done has been nothing short of phenomenal. He'll get his ring before long.
Damn, watching a Seahawks fan actually give credit to Brock Purdy is refreshing. Glad you can enjoy ball for what it is. Purdy doesn’t have the biggest arm or he isn’t the tallest but he still has elite traits. His pocket presence, anticipation, mobility, confidence, and toughness is phenomenal. However, Purdy’s super power or what’s allowed him to be so successful is his processing ability. What’s between his ears is what makes him elite.
It's called "Situational Awareness" and every elite QB has it - knowing where everyone is, on the filed, at all times .. watch and you will Purdy very seldom takes a stupid sack or makes a "Jimmy G" stupid throw. Granted, he's had his games that make me scratch my head (see: Ravens on Christmas) but overall, he's top 5, easily.
SHout out to @BIGR Ladies and Gentleman. This man is a Seahawk and has more Faith than our so called "Faithful" and see's what some of our own fans don't!!!!
Niners fan here. Only a few plays in and I can already see you know the game, man. Not saying that because you (so far) are being complimentary, just what you see on the film and what aspects draw your eye. Great stuff so far. Your team doesn’t have the talent of mine, but you’re coming on, and soon the Niners will be shedding talent, so your future looks bright, though imo qb is a bit of a question you need to answer longterm.
Appreciate it from a Niner fan. Purdy gets shit on but puts up great numbers. We know that supporting cast is insane but still gotta go in and do what he’s been doing. So excited for this year
49er FAITHFUL my entire life. Love your reaction. One of my work friends is a Seahawks fan. Looking forward to the season. I hope we both have a great year.
These break downs were great to watch. I like how you actually have knowledge of the game and actually explain what you are seeing. Best of luck this next year. 🤘
I’m a die hard lifelong 49er fan and I have NEVER seen a Seahawks fan give a 49er their due credit like you have. A man that actually knows football and is a true lover of the game. Much respect bro. Best of luck to you guys next season. The NFC West is gonna be e a tough division.
Maaad respect from a 9ers fans. Knew it was gone be real when you said he was nice. Appreciated your enthusiasm. after doing a pt 2, please do Fred Warner!!
Honestly, he reminds me a lot of prime Russell Wilson, smart, knows where all his teammates are at all times, manipulates the defense with his arm and his legs, utilizes all the tools around him, Niners are so lucky lol
My Uso, its so good you still breaking it down. Again, God has a since of humor, All, my whole family breathe, live, die Faithful, EXCEPT my ONLY son, a seattle fan, I always turn to you...when he sees BigR, hes like....NOPE...hahaha My BigR is a loyal Seahawk but he is Truthful...Much Love Uso.....Keep it Real From Paradise....Hawaii
you are very good at analyzing these videos. The craziest thing about Brock to me is how early he throws the ball. His anticipation. Also how quick he goes through his reads.
Purdy and Aiyuk fit so well together. Purdy's biggest strength is reading the defense and knowing who's going to be open and when. Aiyuk's biggest strength is getting open on his route when and where he's supposed to. This is in contrast to say Deebo, who is a superstar, but his biggest strength is more after the catch.
Only watched 3 minutes of the video so far but I gotta agree with you about BA. The chemistry BA and BP have is special. If BA went to another team, especially one with a shaky QB situation, BA in for a rude awakening
