I consider depth to be quality players behind quality players. Just having bodies or unproven players isn't depth. Every team has the same amount of players at each position, so numbers isn't a thing. We don't know if the Seahawks have starters at certain position let alone quality depth.

@@TopBillinSports Yes, I know. The O line has always been the question. Also, It's not numbers, its depth that we did not have before. For example, Christian Haynes (even as a rookie) backing up Bradford is better than Jake Curhan or Stone Forsythe backing up the G or T positions. We had a bunch of less than mediocrity last year for back ups, but even better is that this year we have better starting and back ups, especially when Lucas gets back.

San Francisco is not on the East Coast nor is Las Vegas. There are 32 NFL teams, fam, not every team is going to be the focus all the time. The Panthers are technically on the East Coast and it's not like they are the talk of the media all the time.

Answer this, do you think college football fans on the east are going to watch a PAC 12 game over their own team or even rather large conference foes? I'm not sure why West Coast ppl care if us easterners watch their games, though. We have Big Noon Kickoffs here, which makes it 9am on the west and nobody on the east cares that's is probably too early for western eyes... I understand what you're saying, though!

West coast viewers are definitely less likely to watch 9am games that don’t involve their team they root for but as a Seahawks fan, I regularly watch my team play at 10am pacific time when the Seahawks play an east coast team on the road. I think overall the east coast bias thing is much more a talking point of radio hosts on the local sports networks rather than a truly verifiable thing. Mostly it comes down to people feeling like their team has been slighted in cfb rankings because a 2 loss Alabama or Auburn would get ranked higher than a 1 loss Huskies or Oregon. But at the same time Washington got destroyed by bama in the cfb playoffs a few years ago

And most people dont watch outside their conference imo

@@tiredguy709 gotcha!! Yeah, watching your team play early in a different market is way different than watching two teams you couldn't care less about play super late or super early. I do get what you are saying about the rankings, but that's very subjective. Washington getting in the playoffs and getting that ass stomped out on multiple occasions definitely angered teams who had only lost once to an Alabama or LSU, too.

@@TopBillinSports I wasn’t even thinking about those teams that would lose once to a powerhouse SEC team. But anyway, none of this even applies to NFL in my opinion. It’s all football but it’s still different sports and different factors that apply to media coverage and such. Anyone talking about east coast bias when it comes to NFL is just saying that because they think it sounds cool to play the victim card.

Cowgirls, 49ers, Raiders, Green Bay, dominate headlines and none of them are on the East Coast. The Patriots deserved to dominate headlines from 2000-2020 because they were the best, most consistent franchise in the sport. A team like the Giants have had a ton of success throughout their existence, so I'm not sure why people would be mad about their coverage. But who else on the east Coast is getting undeserved coverage? The Rams get a lot of coverage. But you can make an argument that the Chargers don't get enough. The same argument can be said about the Falcons, Titans, Panthers, Jags. There's only so much time on a show to try to get ratings, which the more popular teams generate, and balance that with covering 32 teams. If First Take spent all day on Seahawks content, how would their ratings look compared to lightning-rod teams like the Cowgirls? We all know the answer to that.
