Heard this song in my early 20s. I’m 54 now. Still love it.

Youngsters today have no idea just how cool Seal was back in the day. I was poor struggling young art student when this masterpiece came out. My class had a trip to London to see the galleries. While we were on the coach one of the students shouted, "Oh my God it's Seal!" - sure enough it was. He was sitting in the back seat of an open cabriolet with two babes sitting either side of him. Every student got up and dived across to get a look at him. I swear I thought the bus was going to tip over. He even waved to us. It was as though we had witnessed a living a God. Happy days!

I was asked to pop up to a strange little venue not much bigger than the Black Cap in Camden for a record company a new act and as usual for these things, a lot of suits looked uncomfortable around us "clubby types". .... "these guys got to have LASERS no matter how much it costs." 😉 My expectations after being told to be excited about yet another a new act was at about zero, then SEAL blew the bloody roof off! The rest as they say is history.
