Who disliked this?? This was an AMAZING cover! No auto tune; just raw talent with an excellent use of vocal range. Many people can’t do this song’ its justice, but I’m sure Seal himself would be proud!
He’s an independent artist, so doesn’t have a big promotional team. I hope some day everyone gets to hear him. I’ve heard him live with his band and he is absolutely incredible.
That's the way it should be. I'm a pianist and singer. I play and sing in restaurants. Just the piano and my voice. No background instruments or drums or backing vocals. It's definitely harder to find work that way, but I'm not a one man band kind of guy. I do it straight up...sing n play. And so much of the acts that get hired always have loud backing tracks and they are sitting at their instrument playing the instrument but yet you hear the whole karaoke track playing. I hate that.
It's a shame for the world. We have popular singers who can't give to people any of true deep emotions to a heart. And we loose such great voices on the space of internet, who can truly influence on our lives making such covers. the taste of music of Marc is totally 10 0f 10. Seal/ George Michael/ REM/Dolores O Riordan......Everyone of this list is an icon. Wish Marc could achive the same level of recognition.
Born 40 years ago this guy would be one our living legends today.....unfortunately this world is now overpopulated with youtube clowns making millions with no talent whatsoever. Apologies for the rant, I'm in a mood.
But youtube is a great way to build an audience. 40 years ago, he would be just another car mechanic or roofer who has an incredible talent and no audience.
@@fighterrrx Aye, I believe he lives a pretty clean life, no smoking, not really drinking etc. If you keep up a healthy lifestyle (and you have your genes working with you), you can look young up to quite an old age.
Rant appreciated. Heads need to be put on our shoulders again. These smoke and mirrors in the yt clowns confuse so much. We compare to “the perfect life” and feel we will never be able to hit it only ro discover that that perfect life does not exists (it is just its mise en scene). (What makes it look perfect is that it’s put out there in a scene.) Why would the same life be lame when not represented in media and “cool” when represented?? (Even in many tiktoks what is represented is frustration and lameness and somehow that makes the lameness cool??) I am so confused these days. - Changing subjects, what a recomforting voice.
Underrated - "has not received merit or recognition as deserved" Being unknown = unrecognized, Marc got/gets a lot of "just a tribute singer" comments. Trying to limit what Marc can do to that label IS under representing him and rating him lower than other musicians. Describing him as such is a disservice to his skill as a singer and musician. Underrated seems a very appropriate term in this case.
I know that you get a lot of references to Freddie, and for obvious reasons... but I listen to / watch you because you are supremely talented. Playing the guitar or piano while also singing is very difficult, yet here you go, doing it like it is nothing. Then singing so well that it makes people feel better, to make their days better one video at a time. Great job, please keep it up!
That's true . It just so happens he covers queen as good as anyone and better than most . He just has a powerful voice he is one of the finest voices on the road today .
I remember when this video had about 300 thousands views, now it has three times more. This cover is so good that I hope it will reach one million views.

This was ridiculously good! Just Incredible! I hate to say it, but I'm afraid he sings it better than Seal. But Seal's version is still pretty damn awesome, especially with all the extra instrumentals and harmonies! And yes, he does look and sound a lot like Freddie Mercury which is likely a good sign he is or will be a talented force to be reckoned with. Very well done!

awesome. I'm a musician. A death metal guitarist. I am a notorious metal head. That being said I've watched this video like 5 times in a row.. I recognize raw talent when I hear it. I just posted this on Facebook for my wife.. I am completely impressed.

Was fortunate to have seen Pantera on their first Cowboys from Hell tour back in 1991, been to a lot of concerts throughout my life and still today that was hands down the best show ever ! R.I..P. Dime. With that said I totally agree, I think people that play any instrument ( or vocalists ) have a better understanding of awesome talent when we hear it. I’ve watched this video many times in the year and is probably my favorite Marc video out there including all his Queen stuff. Amazing how this video still don’t have a million views yet....goes to show people don’t get it. I like Marc’s cover of this song more than the original, nothing against Seal but not really my thing, more of a rock n roll, blues, heavy metal, grunge type guy. Never really got much into death metal but I can dig some of it. Pantera, Disturbed, Slipnot about as heavy as I get lol 🤘✌️

Better than most of the "famous" names on major contracts at the moment . Marc is a true musician and truly gifted vocalist rather than one of today's digital illusions.
Marc is a shooting star... amazing...and i wish more people would get to know his work and see how amazing he is... just got to see him live last night doing his Queen show.... one of the best singers i have ever seen of heard ... goosebumps as soon as he started singing he sounds so much like Freddie ..
Amazing talent. I am old and lucky enough to have seen Freddie up close in 1976..like 30 feet away..doing the Night at the Opera song list with Queen in a concert & I will truly take to my grave as a fantastic life memory.......then I saw Mark a few months ago...MARK is the real deal...I saw Freddie up close, heard him up close and Marc is the reincarnation of Freddie's larynx!! Seriously this is the REAL DEAL...No other vocalist other George Michael, who was VERY close technically on 'Somebody to love' did as well.....MARC is the best rendition of Freddie both vocally and a couple of times in his show his actual physical mannerisms pop out as a 'Freddie' moment. He may not KNOW HE'S DOING IT.....but Freddie does.
Whatever Marc is doing to "channel" Freddie comes naturally, it seems. Too young to have seen Freddie Mercury live, myself, but I've heard similar comments from older fans at Marc's shows. As much as I see and hear Marc trying to be himself, people see Freddie through his moves and hear Freddie in his voice. I can't help but wish him the best in all that he does. He's been given a gift of a voice, and keeps honing his musicianship and skills as a frontman, and making the most of it.

@Luke Reid seriously when people credit skill as a gift from god it annoys me. it takes away all the effort that went into learning the skill. people werent born "lucky and talented" they practiced harder and longer than you can fathom which is why talent of that level escaped you and you think it must be some magical power bestowed by the gods.

I saw him in concert a couple of weeks ago at Thunder Valley casino and it was beyond amazing!!!! I also heard him sing for the first time on a Michael W Smith Christmas special. I can’t wait to him him in concert again!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

No one really cares about talent anymore...I have been in the fuckin music business for over 35 years, and I still set my friggin alarm clock for 5:00AM Monday through Friday for my day job. While I certainly do love being a guitarist and professional recording artist, I am also very aware that the music business is a bunch of phony shit! On a postive note in regard to Marc Martel, I used to manage a music store/school in Tarrytown NY. Marc played just across the street at the Music Hall with "The Queen Extravaganza" He and the entire band came into the music store earlier that day to check out some instruments and hang out etc...I had the pleasure of meeting him and the band. Marc was a gentlemen for sure! Good people. Their at that time guitarist (Brian) Hooked my wife and I up with Orchestra seats for the show that night!...Was a real pleasure to see and hear Marc perform live! You are all correct! Marc should be VERY FAMOUS BY NOW! Unfortunately, this is the nasty nature of the music industry beast! He is well deserving of a top notch music career of his own! (Kudos to Marc for another fine video above here as well!) Nice work as usual Marc!

Man.. I cant stop listen to it... I just love Marc's voice. It's so light and powerful at the same tine. Marc, you are with no doubt, even though you are a grown up guy, the youngest and newest inspiration for many countless vocalists of all ages and generation worldwide. Your devotion, passion, commitment and broad musical taste you put in your Interpretations is out of this world. You said you got better with the piano and I guess with the guitar as well, out of necessity... well it surely paid off. This rendition of Kiss from a Rose is just great, you made it yours respecting the original phrasing and adding your little touch.. Wonderful!... I also took for me your line change with "your love is.." instead of "to me you're like an.." I sing now one line like you, and one like Seal.. it makes sense for me in order keep up. the breathing and phrasing Thank you Marc for your talent! Looking forward to your next concert in 2021 in Stuttgart.
