Don’t forget to use code JOR10 for 10% off! I’ve been on a couple rides since installing the seals and they’ve worked perfectly so far! Very impressed!
What a shame , we spend so much for a machine and parts of it are subject to the elements. Where do they think we ride them ? Around the Mall ? LoL , check out my series and let me know what you think .
I got those seals too, not sure if it was from Afraid Knot. That air box seal is going to cause things to break. The way your ratchet was stuck when you showed it on camera, I wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t damage that hex on the cover. Eventually the hex will twist off or the locking tabs on the cover or air box will shear off.
No damage. I’ve had it on and off a few times since installing and it’s much easier now that the seal is broken in. It’s definitely tight when first installed. Next time I would do as Afraid Knot suggested and put a little dielectric grease around the seal to help it go on easier.
Ours are thicker and softer then the OMC. We took all the negative comments from the omc brand and worked to solve them. One of the main issues is the top corners and we solved that. Some dielectric grease on the air box lid help with instal as well.
@@TechnoLDud hey thanks for your comment. It’s actually not rubber it’s a silicone sponge which is a much more costly material. Our prices are less than the other brand and we offer free shipping in Canada so our prices are much lower.
I bought both the trunk seal and air box seal. First ride water was filled in the rear box didn't even want to try using the airbox seal after testing the rear box seal
Really?! That’s very surprising. I’ve been in water over my rear rack and haven’t had a drop inside. Even my water test under pressure didn’t let any in. Are you sure you closed the trunk tight?? It’s really hard to close tight when the seal is new as you could see in my video. Something doesn’t seem right.
@@johnsoff-road yeah I was going to order another one, no telling how long the seal set on a shelf. I know what you mean about making sure it's shut all the way it definitely takes a little elbow grease
Actually I think I bought the ones on Amazon and not the one you show in this video now that I think about it. I will order from the company you recommended and see. I know I paid $70 plus shipping for the trunk and airbox seal@@johnsoff-road
