Before getting out of the seal coding industry here in Canada. We did a bunch of churches and each and every one of them were a 100000 square feet per day
The big jobs are the fun ones! We just completed a two weekend long project covering 200,000 square feet. Part 1 is live on our channel and part 2 comes out this friday!
Great job. I am thinking of getting into the business. One of my concerns is the health aspects. Are any of the seal coat materials bad to breath? I dont see any masks being worn while spraying. So in your opinion is there anything to worry about? What about getting the spray or material on your skin?
Great questions! We currently use an asphalt emulsion based sealer. As with any sort of a product that goes through a manufacturing process, there are always health risks. However, this product is the least risky on the market. The only type of asphalt sealer that will burn if it touches your skin is coal tar based sealers. There are some areas that are starting to ban the use of that product due to the health and environmental risks it opposes. Our recommendation if you are getting into the business would be to use a liquid petroleum based sealer or an asphalt emulsion based sealer
