Sealing a Leaking Water Tank - Crommelin Waterproofing Paint - 2023 #24 In this video I'm fixing a leak in one of my concrete water tanks. Making progress, one plugged leak at a time .....
@@MySliceOfHeavenoutdoors these 2 are the smaller ones, I have another video cleaning of an oval tank, that’s a big tank. When I look into them when full, the waters so clear I want to jump in 😀😀
OK so this was 3 months ago. Hows the leak holding? Im in here as I have the same problem. And have in the past used the same fixes. Mr Crystals. Is there not perhaps a mesh membrane one could use as well. As cracking is usually aided by water getting into the reinforcement mesh within the concrete. And expanding the concrete as it rusts. Hope you had a permanent fix
@@craigbuchan316 hi, so far so good. The tanks been full for a long while, I kept checking and didn’t see any issues, I’ve stopped looking now. I’m confident it’s fixed.
I would hope that you had someone with you when working inside the tank. Confined spaces tickets would probably be required if you were paying someone to seal up the tank. I've been on a few job sites where I wasn't allowed in a silo or similar due to not having a ticket. A 60ft diameter empty silo isn't especially confined but thems the rules. A tank with no ventilation is definitely a confined space.
Hey Alan, it was full of water before I drained it so no chance of gases within and when I was painting I actually had a fresh air fan running with supply pipe into the tank. I too was concerned about paint fumes so took that action. I had to turn it off for the quick video takes though as it was too noisy
