Sean Bateman Introduction 

Patrick was supposed to have an appearance in this film but the scenes involving him were cut in the final edit. Bale was initially approached to play him but he declined citing artistic differences between the movies and the scenes were eventually shot with Casper Van Dien (who certainly wouldve looked the part, not sure if he could match Bale's incredible acting)

Monologues like this makes me think sometimes that the movie version is better written than the novel. I like Sean, he's a real badass.
