As a Pens fan I'm proud of Sean Couturier for stepping in on the wimpy bully trying to punk the Russian rookie. BE A FLYER. The Flyers are a brand and they need to get back to fighting, hitting, scrums and old style Philly antics. Also thanks to Michkov for getting his stick up to protect himself leading to Flyer hockey.
Really? He’s gone a few times man go back to when Wayne Simmons was with us and coots fought his first fight man awesome seeing Wayne cheer the at the time young coots on
Pathetic what Bettman has turned this game into. He would have been throttled by Berube or Brown. Now we have a pathetic tokenism fight by someone without a back.
ANOTHER FUCKIN KNEE?!? WHATS IT GONNA TAKE NHL!!! DO YOUR GOD DAMN JOB!!! Lucas Raymond Patrik Laine and now Matvei Michkov too??? ffs what a pathetic player safety department this is all within 1 week, in the preseason! edit : nvm im dumb, its not michkov that got knee'd, but someone did, who is that in front of the net at the beginning of the clip?
Coots was impressive fighting. I wonder if Simmons has been giving Coots and the rest of the team fighting tips. I welcome everyone to share your thoughts.
For all the " so called fans" trashing Coots for last year, that right there is flyers hockey, culture whatever the hell u wanna call it, thats the job of wearing the "C" sometimes preseason or regular definitely playoff, don't have to b the cap but that is great to see stick up for everyone, we were never the team to get pushed around whether we were good or bad, thats Tocchet shit, Lindros shit , dont fuck with our talent
Respect to Couturier for stepping up, but holy fuck the guy gets hurt when he sneezes...DON'T FIGHT! Philly has some muscle, let them handle that. I get Couturier standing up, respect!, but it's preseason, and Philly doesn't need to lose you for another season due to some stupid shit in preseason. The guy can't stay healthy for 82 games and he's dropping the gloves in preseason and supposed to be the top offensive player on the team?!?! WTF?? He's making $7.7/yr for next 6 years....played 72 games, 38 points total last year at age 30 (prime). Philly has to figure out this situation because it isn't making sense.
You know nothing about NHL rookies. Their goal isn’t to fight people because they’re gonna get rocked and chirped by many players in their rookie season. They’re goal is to just get used to the level of playing and score goals.
@Nate1995 - if it's' not 'about the fight' then how is engaging in a fight with these players going to deter future action against his rookie teammate? Narrator: It's 'about the fight'.
