Cassie was a teenager when she first got with Diddy so she has always be a victim in my eyes.

I think back on when they “broke up” in reality when she escaped the narrative was “he wasted her time, he didn’t marry her” when in reality she was probably happy she had escaped and terrified at the same time. Poor woman.

As a survivor it’s not easy to leave. The mental/verbal abuse starts first. By the time the physical abuse starts you don’t know who you are and you’re so afraid that you can’t leave. Oh Lord, this triggers triggers.

It wasn't about anger. It is all about control and toxic domination. It's a physical manifestation of his trauma. He preyed on that girl and whatever her traumas were. My heart goes out to her and I pray she is getting her healing.

To try to leave a man who is sleeping after he beats you, and then wakes up and chases you in a towel as you try to escape…The fear! She didn’t even have shoes on. She also said he would keep her drugged. So so terribly sad for a victim to have to relive this again and again publicly in order to get justice is disgusting.

I have never cared for Diddy. It's something about his face that looks very strange. He looks cray cray but now i know it's a demon in him.

I was on Twitter and somebody said "Cassie must've stole something from Diddy". They're already coming up with excuses for the abuse. It's horrible.

Diddy punched her once and she went to the ground and lay still. She remained still as he kicked her and only moved after he dragged her. Cassie has been through this before, multiple times. She learned to not defend herself when he is erratic because he would continue beating her up. She learned that she needed to get still enough to survive the beating. Because if she moves and he hits her at a certain angle, she would die of internal bleeding due to an injury. A DV victim learns to survive the wrath, until they are courageous enough to walk away and never come back.

The moment he settled that case within 24 hrs, I knew he was guilty. This is a very disturbing video and I feel very sorry for Cassie and I hope she continues to heal and live a Happy life.

I wonder how he would feel if someone treated his daughters like that. What a POS.

Yep, my mother was in an abusive relationship. I lived with her in a battered shelter. One of the girls I played with at the shelter mother was killed by her father shortly after they left the shelter. That shook me as a child. I had a few conversations with my mom about abuse. She told me she lost many friends bc she kept going back to my dad. I think for many women they stay for practical reasons, mostly financial. Many on the outside don’t get it and think battered women are simply dumb.

People who make the statement, “why didn’t she leave,” does NOT understand the cycle of abuse. Period 😔😔

It has been statistically proven that the first thing an abuser does is isolate his victims. Next, they break the victim mentally, and finally, the most dangerous time for a domestic violence victim is when she/he tries to leave. I have two friends who went through this. The physical damage heals fairly quickly. The mental and emotional wounds can last for the rest of a victim’s life. Also, let’s not forget about the collateral damage. Any children that are present in the home. I believe their wounds can be deeper than the adult(s).

Cassie didn’t expose this tape. Diddy had this tape. Even in the lawsuit, Cassie stated that Diddy purchased the footage from the hotel in 2016 for 50k. CNN having this footage now means that it more than likely was amongst the recordings that were confiscated during that warrant that was executed on his properties. If Cassie’s team dropped it, it would’ve been dropped much earlier

To be honest, a lot of women are broken mentally and they don't love themselves enough to get out. You have to love yourself enough to not allow anyone to hurt you. One time my husband tried me, I burst him upside the head with a glass lamp, and I was gone...twin babies and all because I'm not staying anywhere were there is violence. I didn't come up in an environment where there was fighting, cursing, and hurt in the home, so I wasn't use to this type of pain. And I wasn't trying to adapt to it either. Please ladies, seek help if you can't find the strength to get out.

As a DV survivor it’s not as easy as it seems. When a lot of these men commit this crimes they are not mentally stable and very unpredictable. Threats to kill you, your family, and even himself drives the fear even further. I always considered myself a strong person who was a trained DV victim advocate at the local women shelter and I still ended up victimized.
