I'd say Sean would be more confused with Sakura than Dan since both look up to Ryu and Ken respectively and as a result mimic their fighting styles, Sakura's a prodigy in her own way despite not fighting for as long as Ryu has and successfully copied Ryu's style with only a few of her own tweaks, her idol Ryu even acknowledges her as a fighter meanwhile Sean is only a prodigy at basketball he's learns some of Ken's fighting style the same way Sakura did expect it's to a lesser degree and his idol Ken is actively dismissive of Sean seeing him more as an annoyance than a pupil. Heck even Dan tried to copy Ken and Ryu's style but his reason were more for the revenge of his father's death by Sagat and when Gouken refused to teach him Dan just refused to become a better fighter.

@@ShaneDouglas713 I mean in the current storyline now from Laura's Street Fighter 5 arcade ending Sean finally won the US World Martial Arts Tournament he failed to even qualify for at the end of his Third Strike ending. Sean seems to be getting stronger and much better as time goes on while Dan is still pretty much the same as he was.

It's really eye opening to see how dirty they did Sean in 3S. Like homie needed some adjustments yeah, but damn they went overboard.

It makes sense, lore-wise. Sean is supposed to be Ken's student but Ken is mediocre in 2nd Impact while Sean is OP as heck.

A lot of the melonated characters in SF end up getting nerfed by the final version of the games with the exception of balrog. SHhhhh you didn't hear this from me though 🏃🏽‍♂️

@@Bandemic.Loot.Toronta Elena was strong in USF4. DeeJay was solid in ST and I remember they tried buffing him throughout SFIV, but he was still a pretty weak character overall. Didn't he have a move that forced standing on hit, but it always whiffed on crouching characters or something?

@@_Jay_Maker_ tbf I think 2i has a better soundtrack if you just look at the music as a stand-alone collection but the 3s soundtrack is way better in the context of the game. Which is part of why 3s’ presentation is unmatched

All I want is a definitive third strike where you can pick stages from all versions and different versions of each character like that sf2 edition

@@glawrk2861his other moves would also need to be used in a more dynamic way than they are in 3rd strike. Using his wheel kick for example while jumping to land while attacking would be pretty cool and could be countered easily by an anti air attack or while using Sean's roll pressing a certain button can either have Sean immediately attack out of his roll or perform a command grab.

Just found this out. Hurricane kick could also be called tornado kick. Tatsumaki in Japanese means "tornado."

i might not get what you mean, but even in SFV, which was before SF3, Sean was younger than Luke and did not know any martial arts, so there's no way he taught Luke anything 😂

It's up in the air. Sean wasn't even training during SF5 and Luke was already seasoned. Maybe if Capcom decides to Retcon via SFV true ending And give my mans Sean all his moves back that Luke finessed. lol

Sean is more than likely younger than Luke since Sean was around the same age as Ibuki in 3rd strike and Ibuki is younger than Luke in SFV

So...I'mma make Sean a little more broken. IIRC, Sean Tackle combos off of close roundhouse and hits low. So, if they're crouching, cancel into Sean Tackle or Dragon Punch (if they're really close). If they're standing, Tornado Kick. New Generation had some really broken stuff in it. Must. See. More.

@gspeedy619 With good timing, it still goes under projectiles. In New Generation, he had a lot of tools against projectile users, which is why the Sean Tackle got nerfed (slower startup and speed, changed to a blockable hit) in subsequent versions.

Justin, I need to see what you do with SA2 Ken in New Generation. Target combo into Roundhouse HK does slightly less stun than Sean, but your close enough to cr.forward XX Roundhouse HK and dizzy or overhead or walk-up throw with forward kick (knee bash) and mash enough to dizzy. Oh...Shinryuken does 50%... and you get two of them.

It's funny to see people only familiar with 3S see what Sean was like in the previous versions of the game. He was only bad in 3S but that's the only version of SF3 most people know.

Theory... Sean is the main villain in Street Fighter 6. I'm guessing Ken failed as a mentor and Sean looked into the Satsui No Hado. As a result maybe that's what broke Ken. And maybe that's the theme of SF6: Mentor Trainee and legacy. Like after Gouken dies, Ken reflects on his failing Sean and possibly feeling like he failed Gouken, and how he sees Ryu as the success and legacy.

I remember seeing some art of Sean having long dark dreadlocks as he tapped into the dark hado's influence, it's a pretty cool idea although I would only see Sean falling to this as a last resort as well as not having any control over it.

PS1 can’t even handle alpha 3. We didn’t start getting arcade perfect ports until Dreamcast.

@@weedandwater I guess he probably didn't mean arcade perfect. The PS1 couldn't make any arcade perfect fg port. Maybe he mean like Jojo was ported and it's a high quality cps3 game, so it had to be very compressed. Anyways i still have doubts if even that would work well with SF3, because it's a slow game. The many cut frames would show too much. And besides the loadings would be ridiculous.

If they could have, they would have. The only loose rumours of NG being ported to any console from that generation was the N64, and apparently Capcom specifically wanted to utilise the DD add-on. Go figure why it never materialised lol.
