Jake Mackay and how many teams held pats to 3 points entering the 4th ? Especially in the superbowl ? Everyones giving credit to pats defense and not the rams defense smh acting like it was a 21-0 blowout or something.
Their defense held the Patriots to 3 until the fourth quarter. The same Patriots who had just averaged 39 points against the Chargers and Chiefs. It’s nothing but crybaby delusion to pretend the Rams didn’t deserve to be there, or that the Saints would have done better. Saints would have been down 20 at least.
@@crowz6247Exactly. Knew absolutely knew if rams won or lossed these salty saints fans would say shit. There only super bowl win APPEARANCE. should have a asterisk by IT.
Michael Herd saints would have scored u dumb as hell if u think they wouldn’t have. The rams didn’t belong in the Super Bowl and they proved it point blank period
@@youngwill8365 ok saints would have scored!!!! Don't sit there u salty ass fuq and tell me saints would of held pats to 13 points. Saints are so pathetic. Your only superbow win was bounty gate year. And u still crying about a flag lol. Gett the fuq outa here.
bowtech1020 pats played with y’all on Sunday they could have scored way more y’all garbage and had to cheat to win saints would have made a better game and them facts. U dumb ash if u think otherwise
Goff had a bad game but most QBs in the league would've had a bad game too if all their WRs were blanketed most of the game and the O-line wasn't blocking anyone.
Who gives a fuck .... i party at my house I don’t need a gronk to do it .... he makes one play at the goal line who cares the most boring game of all time
I still don't why the NFL haven't had Shakria preform at the Super Bowl instead they pick a singer that nobody knows and isn't a great musician in the slightest.
This is what I have been saying all post season. Just once I wanted a Brady/Brees Super bowl, and some dumb #### blind ### ref ###### it up for everyone...
That's not the o-line its the coaching, they have a zone blocking scheme where the lineman flow in one direction, Billicheck out coached McVay buy having his D-Line go straight through the gaps vS flowing with the O-Line which put them in the backfield all game. That is the point SAS and MW are making is that McVay did not make the proper adjustments at halftime and his offense continued to struggle.
Why wont they say it? Rams got handed the NFC game so that's why we saw the out class in the superbowl. Just admit it Saints got robbed and it resulted in the worst SB ever.
Chris Mequet lol if you think that was the worst Super Bowl ever than you just don’t know football. Either that or you’re just a fan of all these new cookie cutter rules where no one can play defense or touch anyone without there being a flag. Last night the refs let them play, called very few penalties and for once guys were allowed to actually play defense and it was a sight to behold, real old school football, not this no defense allowed 5 TD games that you always see in today’s game. If you’re a fan of actual football, then you loved the way the SB went down. That’s just a fact.
@@jsirwah8616 Bruh the rams scored 3 points the entire game...football fans know this is THE worst super bowl ever. Neither QB threw a TD but yet they threw picks....the two best teams didnt even play in the SB. This season was fixed against the saints and everyone knows that. Even Pats fans know it was boring. Saints the best team in football and it was taken by the refs. Your alone on this one buddy
@@jsirwah8616 very few penalties?? it looked like the rams got flagged once a drive? i mean i don't mind but it certainly wasn't "very few" Also a good defensive game is one this, a bad offensive game is another. While yes it was exciting to watch the patriots on offense and the rams play really good defense trying to stop it. the reverse side of that coin... not so much. the rams offense looked awful Goff missed so many throws and almost all their good runs were called back on flags. it was pitiful to watch. So yeah it genuinely was the worst superbowl of the modern era atleast 2000s
@@mikepowers7207 Yeah well this isnt the 60s. If you cant get 1 Passing TD and only 1 rush TD through both teams...thats not good at all. And yes the scores where low back then but thats a different time in the sport when teams run run run
The people to blame for this disgrace of a Super Bowl are the Refs from 2 weeks ago,Saints Pats wouldve been much more entertaining and more deserving of a Super Bowl
The whole end of the season was F'd up because of bad play calling. Rams were very distracted by something they couldn't help. Everyone wants to feel bad for the saints but Rams were ripped off too.
I'm a Saints fan, but I'm of the opinion that really we could have made it last year and this might be the rematch. Are we just gonna tune out the Minnesota fiasco?
Rams shouldn’t have been there anyway. Saints deserved that game. Rams suck and created one of the worst SuperBowls in SuperBowl history. Refs and Nfl are to blame!
It’s not Jared Goffs fault, Mcvay didn’t make any second half adjustments. The patriots played zone and had Mcvay put in Gurley from the beginning I think the game would’ve been different.
It’s Jared Goff because I heard the patriots wait late till it was like 15 seconds on the play clock to change up the defense so Mcvay wasn’t able to sniff it out. Goff had to do it himself , this shows that Goff is the product of his system. The throw to cooks was late and on the int he had a dude opening the left can’t blame Mcvay for that
Shannon Sharpe Mcvay should get a huge portion of the blame for that because a good coach teaches their players to be self-sufficient. If you hold your QB’s hand the whole time then opposing coaches will see that and take advantage.
Jared Goff simply did not belong on this stage he absolutely was not prepared and he looked completely uncomfortable . But some blame goes to Gurley , for all you “injury “ Theorist please stop the excuses. The man had almost 2 months off from the time the rams picked up Anderson til the Super Bowl but when every run is a 2 yard stuff you have to adjust and pass more or alternate to Anderson . Gurley was the biggest dissapointment in these playoffs and Goff isn’t ready to be a supper bowl Qb
Your an idiot if you think he was healthy. Top 3 back in the league getting 10 carries in the biggest game? He was clearly injured at the Cowboys and probably just wanted him to be a distraction so they have to prepare for him. Wouldnt be suprised if , like the Eagles last year, he take off season surgery and maybe not be healthy by week 1.
Literally anybody but the rams would've made a better superbowl, they literally had no chance to win lol I just didn't trust Jared Goff due to inexperience, he'll get there though
@@DavidTextle you honestly believe DREW BREES and that offense isn't scoring more than 3 points against the patriots defense? You honestly believe that? Is that what you're telling me? Goff was a deer in headlights, brees a different animal
Kenan Ford yes, just look at brees last 8 games. He threw a pick when it mattered most. GOFF is 24 playing against the best team ever. I dare say brees and the saints would not have scored a point
@jayteso LOL PAYTON? FLACCO? SANCHEZ!?!?! LOLOLOLO THE GUYS THAT TOM MADE HIS CAREER DESTROYING? Just because you knock someone out of the playoffs once or twice doesn't make it a rivalry, it wasn't even close between Payton and Brady. Holy shit, this guy really brought up Mark Sanchez's one hit wonder ass into the convo....
Belichick outcoached Mcvay so bad they started to break the huddle after the mics were cut off to make sure Bill couldn't change plays at the scrimmage...whenever Mcvay was shown on camera he looked clueless. Could we say the coach choked? if players can choke why can't coaches
The Rams didn't supposed to be there anyway that's why the Superbowl was bad because they had a good defense of line but they offense was scoring high pionts all season but at the end of the season and playoffs they been they really haven't played good offense at all they was kicking more field goals instead of scoring touchdowns you can see in the playoffs they was not playing good people knew if the saints would have played the Patriots it would have been more better
Maxine wanted the Chiefs and Lambs to beat the Pats. He's a pussy that hates anything strong and white. The Pats somehow are this "racist white team" even though 80% of the team is black.
@@Bmoses-se4oy yes it was low scoring. But, both of the defenses were on fire. I would have loved to see a shootout, it wasn't in the cards. Both defenses looked like the dallas defense when Dallas slapped the shit out of the saints.
110% on McVay!!! When you have the best running back in the fucking league, you run the ball down Pat's throat the whole game! I know McVay was trying to get some confidence into his young QB by allowing him throw the ball more then run plays, but come on man!!! After the 1st play by the start of 3rd qtr when Goff shouldve been picked off, McVay shouldve said to himself "Goff isnt gonna win this game for us, we need to go with Gurley(and CJ)". Run the ball with Gurley and CJ to set up the pass. This couldve been a totally different game, but 110% the loss was on McVay!
Basically I learned from watching this game is Doug Pederson was robbed of the last season's coach of the year only because McVay was the more exciting option as opposed to the best option
I've been saying this since last year Doug Pederson is a better coach then Sean Mcvay and deserved to win coach of the year last season but the media loves Sean Mcvay
@@joshpeck1054 what makes zero sense is how a coach who went and improved his team to 13-3 record would lose to a guy who went 11-5. Doug won the Superbowl so he got the last laugh. Sean McVay got a try this year and he couldn't adjust the way Doug did last year. And this Superbowl validated that
Pederson took a 7-9 team and made them better. McVay turned around a 4-12 team with the lowest scoring offense and took them to 11-5 with the highest scoring offense. Nagy won this year for turning around a 5-11 Bears team. Get the theme, yet? If Pederson was robbed last year, who was robbed this year? McVay? Payton?
Goff was definitely to blame. I mean he made every mistake. Obviously he's young but it was his fault. You can't win if your qb is gonna totally fuck up
We not hyped broskie qw just good we could of one rhis game shit hurt i became a rams fan n 02 i was 7 n thats when pats beat us it will sting until next season
Sean McVay has now been flat out coached four times Last year vs Minnesota (24-7) Divisional Round vs Atlanta last year (26-13) The Bears game this year (15-6) And last night (13-3) Seems to crack under the pressure when he faces coaches that are better than him, let’s stop the hype until he actually does something.
L When things go his way he looks good, but in all those losses they were getting outplayed and he refused to make proper adjustments, leading to a blowout. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them come from behind to win a game (except for the NFC Championship where they were gifted with the worst no-call in years)..good coach, but he’s no guru.
@Tyler Mathis He did a good coaching job throughout much of last year, and in the game against McVay his team was more prepared than McVay's (Who on paper were better and should have won)..not saying he's a better coach, merely just arguing that McVay doesn't make the proper adjustments necessary to beat good teams when things don't go his team's way.
McVay, the heavily praised young offensive Guru didn’t Quite calls his best game here. He’s the most to blame. IF you ask me he actually played right into Bill Belickech hands. He continually stayed in his base offense when you knowing that’s the exactly thing the Bill is going to want to take away from you. They came out in their 12 or 13 personal, I. their favorite single back formations as if the Patriots haven’t study film, it’s the PATRIOTS right.. of course they have study film. It was almost like Sean McVay was saying, “this is who we are, good luck stopping us” or “if you can beat our identity Than you deserve to win”. Like no, this is the superbowl, this is the game where you are allowed to go for it all, it’s the game where a flea flicker should be called, yor your favortie trick play that you have been practicing all year but never use is supposed to come out! It’s suppose to be the game you go for it on 4th down! This is game where you pull out the plays that the opposing team isn’t expecting you to run. But noo McVay just stayed in his base offensive and Belicheck made him pay for it. He ran deep routes all damn game, no quick short passes to get the Offense in a rhythm, no slants, no 5 yards hitches, no quick short screens. Why every route had to be so dang deep? They clearly had to deep safeties waiting on that! Push deep routes mean Goff has to hold the ball longer, which leads to pressure or sacks. And I’m even going to mention the Todd Gurley situation! 3 points scored, in a NFL game. That’s Call on COACHING!
UNSHAKEABLE TRUTH SPORTS TALK I agree with u , u could almost predict what the rams were doing from sitting on the couch so u know damn well the patriots knew what they were doing , they needed to switch it up and they never did
UNSHAKEABLE TRUTH SPORTS TALK lmao now it’s predictable the game was 13-3 almost all season long they did that and it work. Ne D not like the bears D but I do agree he should’ve change it up I just think u can’t fault him personally I put this on Goff because I missed cook for the Td and let Mccourty deflect it, and on the int he had someone open. Plus New England’s d waited until Mcvay couldnt speak to Goff in the the head set to switch the plays because they knew Mcvay was reading the defense all year.
anytime you run the ball for 3 yards when its 3rd and 24 like the rams did .....you are not trying to win any football game.....even if its the super bowl?
Terrance Cooper I mean he outcoached him yet he called 2 plays which the rams win by 1. Goff was late on reading them because he has tunnel vision, he also threw that pick which he had Woods open for a 6 yard completion
L.A Rams ....High Class team with a Very , Very , Low Class Head Coach..... his SB Loss reflex that Wade Phillps was the mind that take the Rams to the SB ...
The first one was a horrible throw. He lobbed it in the air so long a DB came and broke it up. The second one was a tough catch but coulda still not let it slip throw his arms
So now that the rams got there chance and failed can we just address the elephant in the room....Saints got robbed of a Super bowl and we all know saints woulda beat the breaks off the Pats. Saints got the best team in the league what a shame we had to watch the worst SB of all time #NAtionalFakeLeague #RiggedFootball
Thanks man. Goodell knew the Patriots were gonna get smoked by the saints. Rams had the talent to be there but not the experience. Saints had the talent and experience. This was their year.
@@shigsho NE would have been eatin alive infront of the entire world and thats why the league threw that game away. They literally blew the game so the Saints wouldn't go all the way i promise you. Its not even an opionion thing. Fire is hot water is wet and the saints would beat the Pat's
Sean Mcvay got exposed for what he is, a fraud. 1. Sean Mcvay isnt a genius he just stole shanahan's playbook and last night he actually had to get creative and he couldn't do it. 2. It easy to call plays when you have a 1st round QB, Todd Gurley, a great offensive line, and 3 really good Wrs. Plus they got a young stud at TE as well. This offense is loaded most competent OCs around the league could do well with this personnel. 3. He has NO input on Defense none he just sits on the sidelines and let's wade Phillips handle. Which coincidently was the most. Competent part of this team last night. McVay is ready to be a head coach he just lucked into a great situation where he has a stacked team on both sides of the ball, a great defensive coordinator, and he got the benefit of being taught Gruden's then shanahan's playbook.
That's not necessarily true mcvay is a great coach jeff Fisher had the same team and the rams looked horrible in 2yrs her went to the playoffs and one Superbowl and he's only 32 he lost to belicheck the greatest coach of all time. Your giving him no credit
The throw was fucking terrible. He aired it out so long McCourty had time to contest the ball. Wouldn't have mattered anyway cuz pats scored after that.
Eric Vinnetona I guess we weren't watching the same game? He didn't drop the touchdown Mccourty made a sensational defensive play and swatted his arm away.
Max is right. Goff kept forcing the ball to Woods wayyyy too much and kept pushing the ball down the field into double coverage when he felt pressured. He could've moved outside and seen Reynolds or Cooks a few times wide open for 10yrd passes. He was trying to b like Mahomes and his arm is not even in the same category
No one is “to blame” like i find that disrespectful both teams played their heart out.. its been a long hard fought season and they made it to the superbowl.. yesh if it was a blowout you can say there was someone to blame but in this case no
James Moore miserable because they also had lots of chances to win and all we had to was stop Goff from getting into field goal range and win the game. Even the missed opportunities to score TDs instead of field goal was a factor
First of all, it's just sports not my health, freedom or livelyhood. I'm a die hard G-Men fan, I will never accept cheating in sports, I hope you got some of that money that was made off that call, and these players got the nerve to strut like they really won off their abilities, that's a joke to all athletes who really compete!!!
Defense came to play, Goff is ass simple ass that, nobody in that offense was ready for this game and it shows. Wade philips had his defense on point and did his job.
Considering he only had one receiver getting open for the whole first half (and then Gronk later showed up in the second) he played well enough to win, and besides the defense owes him for last Super Bowl.
the refs threw the rams into a super bowl with the bad call vs saints, was it the nfl who wanted the weaker team too match up with pats when u don't beat the pats who only scored 13 points u didn't deserve too be there and I think saints where a better match up!
First off if NFL didnt rigg the saints game they would have gotten a better chance of winning or at least some DAMN excitement !! But yet RAMS being in LA ... its all about the $$$$ ..... NFL is a bust and super bowl ratings are droppin like fleas
The Saints robbed themselves by fucking up on their last opportunity. Life isn't always fair, but when get a second chance you have to make the most of it. The Saints didn't, Brees threw an INT, they lost and they need to stop crying.
AllPro777 All I’m saying is drew’s experience and composure would’ve done way better than 3 pathetic points.. they would have definitely beat the patriots. If goff was competent at all rams win that game.
@@prestigeworldwide7914 What Brees would've done will remain speculation. To suggest that Goff is not "competent" is going way overboard. He's proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is a top QB in the NFL. He played a DYNASTY team, the greatest dynasty in the history of pro football, against arguably the greatest coach in the history of pro football. It makes sense to not have your best game in that situation. With more than 12 Super Bowl appearances in his entire career (between being a coordinator and head coach), Bill Belichick has made A LOT of top QB's look like trash, some of them are in the Hall of Fame. Let's not carried away and start calling Goff incompetent.
Who boycotted fer Kaepernick? i didn't watch cuz the game was terrible the commercials were annoying. That and my 600lb life was on, good to see these guys get off mcveys nuts finally. Hes 1-D and could the powers that be, give them a harder schedule next year? Talk about shittn the bed on the largest stage...
Leave the guy alone. Jeezuz you ESPN losers have done nothing in any of your sorry lives. McVay is basically still a rookie coach and he went up against one of the best coaches of all time. Rams shut down a high powered Pat's offense for 3 quarters. Not bad at all IMO, The only mistake McVay made was not prepping his players for a full 60 minutes of smash mouth old school Giant's style defense.. If the Rams were better conditioned they may have won. They ran out of steam not unlike the Falcons did 2 years ago.
SShaBazzz Goff was pressured but he had plays he didn’t make, McVay called great plays and were there but Goff had a tunnel vision on a receiver pre-snap. Goff gets babied, he can’t read defenses and that’s crazy. Same thing happened with the Bears game, exact same game with two different teams.
SShaBazzz His OL wasn’t awful, they got outschemed. Most of those blitzes weren’t 4 man heat. They were designed, max blitzes and overloads. It’s the QBs job and the head coaches job to recognize that
The game was boring, but that cause it was a defensive struggle all day long and NE outlasted the Rams with all those over paid players. SUH? Who? Yes Goff was awful but that is the coaching and play calling. I am not a NE fan, but you have to give it to the defense. And yes the future Dolphin coach Flores was in high gear. I love the smack downs and hard hitting. The left coast LA Rams did not deserve to be in this game to begin with. Remember Saints? Got ripped off and poor officiating and game was stolen. Go Finns!
Coach should have let the two backs eat 35+ touches. Either Sean is taking it for gurley or he forgot what got us there. Run Run Run play action Run Run Run Run Run. Gurley needs touches to set up his holes.
Stephen players make plays on the field or they don't. Goff had many open receivers that would have changed the outcome of this game but he failed to see them. The kid got tunnel vision on the big stage. Having said that if u are 23 ys old you probably get them too. Stop talking crap and over reacting you don't play ball bro just your mouth rambling lol..
The media hype Sean McVay up they've been hyping this young guy up for the last few years I'm sick and tired of this s*** like he is the next coming to f****** Christ he went out there and laid a egg in the biggest stage that's just what he gets always going at the young white guys like that a best thing since f****** slice bread but yet they hired a black coach and he goes to a stinking team and he might be a great coach but he goes to a stinking team stinking organization and get fired after two to three years now is that fair only in America🤔🤔
McVay lost because he failed to adjust and became predictable. Gurley is not completely healthy but on a couple of plays that had burst and could make cuts. My issue was that he didn’t want to utilize Gurley in the screen game and passing game more. It’s almost like you knew what they were going to do right out of the huddle. There’s other way to use Gurley than just running him. Goff was throwing ducks out there yes but McVay’s predictability had a lot to do with that. That’s just my take on it tho
