Two times Oscar winner Sean Penn and two times Oscar winner and one of the greatest actors of all time Marlon Brando, on a trip to México City to track down, Noble Prize recipient Gabriel García Márquez. Why has no one made this a movie?
Can you imagine a meet up with Marlon Brando, Sean Penn and John Travolta, drinking and sharing stories on a flight back to the USA from Mexico. I guess It cannot get better than that. Thank you for posting!
@@ericspencer4599 lol the uncreative guy desperately reposting a meme someone actually funny created and taking Bernie off it is accusing a person of seeking attention.
seriously i think those 3 are the kind of people that played chess all night long... think about it they were in their way to México for a big poet/wrighter's permission so they can make a movie... chess.
Too bad that this movie wasn't realised. Marlon Brando and Garcia Márquez just a perfect match. And yes Mexico City is the city in the whole continent.
@@RavenDMilosh I think it was plan for the film base on the Marquez book "The Autumn of the Patriarch " and it was plan to Emir Kusturica (Serbian director) directed movie. Brando accepted role becouse he really admire Kusturica and Marquez, but it was stoped becouse Brando die. It was 2003 i think.
*if Travolta was flying the plane* Travolta: So what do you think of "Royale with Cheese"? Brando: I dont have an opinion. Travolta turns around with a 9mm on silencer Travolta: But you've gotta have an opinion.........
Zulphur ye real people tend to have led a life when they near 50. Usually smoking drinking no sunscreen. Didnt know he was known for his addiction tho so yes if that so for sure didnt help
These Old Chunks Have All The Charm That A Classic And Great Movie Need,......... Brando's Mimic Was Just so neet and clean,..... Love for You Guys From INDIA💐
@@killerskillet No...they don't always indulge the guest in stories. Like the old greats that would come on , such as Rickles, they'd take the time to let the stories be told. I like to hear the whole story, to sit back & be told a tale by someone who's seen & done things I'll never do - it's interesting.
@@TK-ij2xi Yes, the guests are meant to be entertaining and have good (usually show business) stories to share, which is why they're brought on and given screen time. The host is meant to set them up. I feel like (again), we're just talking about the textbook definition of a talk show...
I like how he’s talking about how they’re on the plane and then says “everybody crashed” lol. Like it’s obvious he’s saying they all fell asleep but, yknow.
@@guyincognito2237 Yes. Brando said for several years that he wanted that to be his final role. They tried for nearly a decade to get it made. Then, Brando got ill for a while, and then died. Alas, it will never be. It's sad.
Sean Penn is great. Just a little bit crazy...not enough to be scary, just enough to be interesting!...while also being engaged, lucid and really witty and charming. I thoroughly enjoy watching Sean Penn.
Such a good story. It is marvelous to see that even celebrities call in favors to colleagues and friends. I know he looks scruffy and at times has odd behavior, but I like Sean Penn. I think he's a smart man, who is gravely misunderstood, partly due to his own faults. Either way, great story, Sean.
Marlon Brando loved to play chess since he was a kid and he was good at it and passionate about it (he played chess almost all the time). It was most likely really chess.
Anybody else thinking that Marlon and Sean may have done more than just drinking and telling stories that night....the inclusion of John Travolta into the story only makes the suspense that much higher, huh !!!!
There is another version to that story, according to which Garcia-Marquez refused that deal with them, and ended up sealing a deal with the producer Scott Steindorff. The movie Love in the Time of Cholera was stared by Javier Bardem and Giovanna Mezzogiorno. Despite its artistic quality, it wasn’t a commercial success in America, but did great in Italy and South America.
All the comments complaining about hairs, voice and attitude of Sean Penn I've read below make me laugh. Let me be very clear and loud: you don't have a inch of his charm and talent and even with a mariachi hat on his head mr. Penn is hot as hell! (sorry for my bad english, it's not my mother toungue)
After watching Kate Del Castillo's story, Sean Penn gives me parasite vibes. He's all charismatic and charms you with extraordinary storis with Hollywood Legends (Brando, Madonna, etc) but takes from you what he needs like a vampire.
I think he might be in an early-stage neurodegenerative disease of some kind. It might explain the shaking and trembling voice. Years and years of cigarettes, booze, and coke would not have helped at all.
@@Theomite I don't know what he has but he's stuttering a lot. Didn't do that until recently. Unless it's stage fright, of course, it can be nerve wracking sitting in front of all those people.
