Sean is absolutely correct when he says that because he talks too much(which I just love), people forget he can fight. His fighting style is my absolute favourite to watch in the UFC. There’s something about his defence which is just pure beauty. I simply love his style and his performance against Izzy will go down in history as a striking master class. Can’t appreciate him enough for being himself and not having a filter. Sean Strickland is the Champ of the UFC and more importantly, the MAN of the UFC!!🔥
It sure was a masterclass. He did say he thought he was the better striker and did it mostly using only two weapons. Sean's defense is so underrated till now. He learned a lot after getting ko by Alex.
I wouldn’t describe his style as beautiful lol, but I was really amazed at how good his defence was in this one. It was amazing seeing him deny every strike Izzy threw

History? Prime Silva humiliates that clown. Machida fought at MW, his striking was phenomenal. Israel wouldn’t have survived the ped era with that chin, Vitor would put him in the ICU 30 seconds round 1 with a blitz, and that would likely be a wrap for his career. Pretty sure there’s a guy who has knocked him out multiple times that fought in MW. Aleix is a better striker, he has proven that. Moving away and throwing 3-5 leg kicks a round to eek out a decision, doesn’t make you the greatest striker in history.
Silva is the best striker in middleweight history, and yes hes better than Alex and izzy ..and MMA striking isnt the same as pure kickboxing.. Striking and having to worry about doublelegs and flying heelhooks makes it difficult.. And Prime Chael Sonnen would beat both Alex and Izzy
As we've seen with Usaman, sometimes getting knocked out changes a fighter and takes away their confidence. Making them less dangerous. Izzy's best days may be gone.

Sean kept going in and out of range in a rhythm that kept Izzy's attempts at striking suboptimal, kept checking & catching kicks like they were easy (which isn't, just phenomenal training & reflexes). That and his Philly Shell/Cross Guard worked wonders at negating any harsh impacts from Izzy, he almost exclusively boxed in this match with really good 1-2s. All in all a terrific performance from Sean Strickland!
I couldn't believe what I was watching. It still feels surreal..When he dropped izzy in that first round..I was in complete awe from that moment on lol
I normally hate Eugene, but post fight he represented himself well. He didn’t make stupid excuses like Dana and the dumb reporters. Izzy was at his 100%, Sean was at his 100% and Sean dog-walked Adesanya🔥
