Oh a couple of reasons really, Wendy thought we’d always be comparing and not be satisfied and due to being in UK more we felt it was just too big at 8.6mtrs

Good news Wendy and Steve, we have a Dethleff Ducato Advantage, good vans, with french bed. I am not to keen on the french bed, but a good quality van. What configuration did you get in the end? If we ever got another van, we would get single beds that make up to a double. Cannot wait to see Just William. ❤❤ xx

Hey Susan, William has an island bed with two steps up on either side. Also separate toilet and shower and a bench sofas at the front. It's also only 7.4mtrs long... We think Just William is perfect (famous last words...)

@@TheHappyTravellersour Dethleffs is fourteen years old and the only thing that lets it down is the engine is only euro 4. I am glad you have the layout you want, an island bed is perfect, a proper bed. ❤ xx

HI, We just could not make ourselves happy with the narrowboat so we spent a load of time preparing it for sale from March 2024 to June 2024. We sold it just before leaving for our trip to Sweden in June. We are now full time in the van which is why we're upgrading :)
