During May 2021, we took a trip up to the west side of county Durham, to explore a new and beautiful area of countryside and some of the stunning flora and fauna it had to offer. Upper Teesdale is home to the magnificent and rare arctic alpine flower, the Spring Gentian (Gentiana Verna) This was a species that was top of the list for us to hopefully find, along with many other specialities in the area. I hope you enjoy this brief video summary of our trip, countryside and nature.

Wonderful! What an awesome nature adventure! Great to see so many local birds and the colorful wildflowers! The scenery is amazing! Thanks for labeling all the flowers and birds… we have a few similar flowers, but most of them are new to me. I have always loved pansy flowers, and have never seen wild ones, very pretty. The flowers are all so special and delicate. I’m happy you found the blue Spring Gentian! 👍🌺🌸💙🤍💕

Thanks so much Jennifer ♥️🙏😊 it really means a lot that you enjoyed the video, we were very lucky to of found the Spring Gentian, it was on my target species to see for a long while and it was a real adventure trying to find it. Yes the pansy's are really beautiful and dainty especially in the wild a real joy to see. I would love to see all the different wildlife in the states one day, it's so fascinating how a like and how different species still are, it makes exploring different countries so interesting. 🦋🌱🌸 Hope you get to see some great nature this year in your neck of the woods 🙂 sending best wishes
