I have recently been watching the 1982-83 episodes from the David Gale fan channel. Mary Stuart was great then and nice to see she was great 2 decades earlier. Thank you for posting this!
@@kevinjohnson4599 yes amen my grandma is blessed to be in heaven with Jesus . She passed away 6 years ago age 96 I will always love her . Not a day goes by when she doesn’t cross my mind .
@@TheBeautifulGoldenHour I'm sure your grandmother is. As I said SFT was never the same after CBS dropped it & NBC piked it up. If CBS kept SFT & they didn't kill a couple of characters off maybe it would have lasted a little longer like 2,3 or 4 years. God Bless You, Stay Safe & Healthy.
Just seeing the thumbnail, I thought, “Oh, that’s Joann!” So tickled to remember after all these years. I’ve been watching all the old As the World Turns episodes. I grew up with all the CBS soaps from the late 50’s til the end?
+Kirk Morgan Answering my own question....I found out from a soap history book Marion did survive and it was revealed that another man fathered Marion's child. No wonder why Marion didn't want to go to court!
The women in the commercial ads are stunning. I remember when women looked like this, back in the day. I sure miss those days. And this program was in our living room every weekday when my mom watched it each and everyday. Sadly, America went to hell 10 months later when President Kennedy was killed, and nothing's been right ever since then.
At 3:10 noted game show host Jack Narz making extra bread doing a Dash commercial . Ms. Mary Stuart was the long time heroine \ matriarch of this soap .
A couple of episodes were written by future creators of General Hospital, Frank, and Doris Hursley, and did Search's Neal De Luca one of the crew have a son or relative name Al who worked on the show several years later.
This show ran 35 years and after it ended Guiding Light became the longest running soap or one of the longest TV show in history until ending in 2009 after 57 years on TV.
@@a.b.s_productionsBut now, General Hospital is the longest running TV soap opera which is still in production as it celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2023 on ABC, followed by Days of Our Lives which will celebrate their 60th anniversary on TV by 2025 even it moved from NBC to its sister streaming platform, Peacock.
