We were on the hunt for a double digit class fish and it happened quite fast. After 3 outings we ran into the right one. Only 1 bite on day 3 but it was the right bite. Hope you guys enjoy ZQBY3TQ64VX6ABRP
That’s how you know Damian is well seasoned and has caught many DDs before. He’s not going crazy out of excitement. I would’ve been screaming after catching like that! 😂
Love this video, man. You make it look like it's so easy - just go out there four times and throw big baits, haha. A lot of people are not going to understand how good you are at fishing.
Mr. Damian . . . That was a WHOPPER 10lber 👊 and another fish to include in your big bass compilation. I think Outdoor Channel needs to inlcude you in their angler lineup, with Ott DeFoe and Chris Lane, for their "The Hunt For Monster Bass" show 👍. Again, another enjoyed vid and many "Thanks" for continuing to share your set-up and techniques 🤙.
For you NON-LOCAL, non-Californian and central californian's.... Eastman lake is a TROPHY lake for LARGE MOUTH BASS! It is the only TROPHY LAKE IN CALIFORNIA. I chatted with one of the Park Ranger there years ago and he told me that Eastman Lake was once banned from all fishing and recreation etc. They had to drain the lake due to some issues and repopulated the lake in the mid-80's and didn't allow any sort of fishing by the ARMY core. Years later ( almost a decade), the lake was lifted back for recreation and fishing. However, the LIMIT to keep LARGE MOUTH BASS IS 22 INCHES! For me, 22 inches = a GUARANTEE 5lbs or more! and only keep 1 bass over 22 inches. Most people practice catch and release. The lake is heavily pressure by the locals, but when you catch one, more than likely its pretty decent. You'll get a lot of dinks, but you'll definitely hook-up to a really decent size. And if you do, your pretty good at fishing, since the lake is heavily pressure.
How did I not find this channel sooner 💪 6:57 mark ,was epic as hell if you know the “tick!’ Bite . The hand shaking while grabbing the scale moment 😂 you get so giddy in that moment “ I just stuck a giant laugh ‘’ when you see the reward for your time put into the water. Great stuff man keep crushing it , hello I’m Joe from Arizona 🌵 stoked to follow this channel 👊👊
Love glide baits as well, I’ve caught a lot on them as well and they get bit a lot. Starting to spend more time with them and starting to find what glidebaits are better for different situations
@dthao92 the drawing power they have at all times of the year is crazy, it's like a poor man's live scope haha. Winter, summer, pre, spawn, and post. They work all year round.
Damian congrats on this years biggest thus far, I feel like a teener Is coming soon. Also, how do you feel about that lure retriever over the toothy fishman?
Thanks! I’ve never tried the toothy fish man but it looks good. I’ve just never had any issues with the one I’m using so never needed to replace it. It’s just what my local tackle shop carried
Great video brother nice catch! way to represent Central Ca lakes a lot of RU-vidrs represent Socal and Norcal. Which bait are you using at 7:59? I didnt see w link in the bio.
I don’t think so, they are proven and always produce, 30$ is on the cheap end for swimbaits. Same with the Hawg Hunter, it’s proven but the hawg hunter is definitely much more expensive
No, I thought it was a rock on the bottom. I threw the boat over it several times and it never came to follow. So I had dead sticked the bait next to it and after awhile it bit.
just to mention fish handling. We love big bass, lets handle then right. 3 min out of water is going give her a headache. the nice thing to do is when you net her, let her chill in the net in the water for a minute or two before weighing etc. imagine doing a super set then running from the cops for your life, and then the cops catch you, and your out of breath and they stick you straight into a bathtub headfirst for 3 minutes. I see some these kids talking for 5 minutes while holding the bass.. the bass go into shock after a minute. Just be quick about it. boom, release.
Hello my friend can you please point me in the right direction for a sonar that you use on the back of the boat I saw you use it in a video I’m a co angler and I want to buy a set up I’m tired of just being on the back of the boat will the capt get to sonar the crap out of fish I need to step it up please help me out ….
Im using a Garmin 93sv with livescope. its the same setup i have on my kayak. I just extend the pvc arm when im going to fish on a boat. I have it all wired into a waterproof gun case so its portable.
@@dthao92 thank you for taking you time to answer my question my friend so I got one more for you did the garmin93sv come with it’s own battery or did you have to buy that separate ? And if so which battery did you ? Thanks again for taking time to answer my question …
Why use giant poles to catch trophy Bass just use a rope if you’re going to only take five seconds to catch one DD lol you don’t need that big of a setup to catch and rip lips dude
