What's up everybody!
3rd stop of the year, lake Tohopekaliga. I missed the first one stop and didn't do so hot in the last tournament. It feels great to finally bounce back and catch a few.
As most of you who are subscribed can tell, I'm in a new boat.. I ended up moving to a bigger kayak. Many of the reasons why include it being easier to maneuver, easier to transport, Low maintenance, and there is more tournament opportunity. I fish by myself for the most part, 99 percent of the time... so why not. I do apologize for those interested in the pelican content.. I do plan on getting another boat soon, so stay tuned for that! Until then we plan on slaying these jokers in a kayak haha.
All in all, the day turned out great and we were able to secure a top 3 position. I didn't catch very many, but I got quiet a few bites so I decided to stay in the area I was in. The weekend prior to the tournament I had caught two 20 inchers so I was hoping the later I stayed, they might show up..
Needless to say we ended the day on another line of hydrilla and culled a
couple more times. I decided running new water may not be in my best interest, to stick it out amongst the 3 points I was bouncing back and forth from. Which is exactly what I did for the entire day.
All in all, I'm still learning and hope to improve my fishing game. These Slay nation tournaments have taught me so much. If you guys are in the area, check slay nation out online. Great group of folks to fish with. With that being said, plenty more tournaments ahead so stay tuned for those! Maybe I'll see you guys out there!
