CREEK FISHING FOR GIANT BROWN TROUT!! After trout fishing Colorado we decided to go back to our home waters and get on some big brown trout. After getting some rain the perfect opportunity presented itself to throw large streamers in one of the small local creeks. We fished for around 13 hours and had about 2 productive hours. In those two productive hours we managed to land 4 fish 20 inches or larger, with the biggest measuring nearly 22 inches. It was an outstanding day on the water and one we are happy to share with you. I have decided to add it to as a streamer episode to accompany some of the other more elite streamer fishing videos for trout on the channel. We sincerely hope you enjoy!

These are my favorite vids you guys make, you put so many hours in and catch some monster meat eater brownies, so fun to watch!! You have such a unique fishery down there in WV, I’ve never seen that many big browns in such small streams! Do those fish migrate up from bigger water or do they live in those creeks year round?

Nice! Another great video guys. Really liked your fish handling info, as I tell some fishing buddies, imagine running full speed for a 1/2 mile then diving in a pool and holding your breath under water for as long as you can. Those are some beautiful browns. Did ya guys get a new net? That one you're using is much better.
@hardmanfishing
@hardmanfishing 4 года назад
Thank you!! It's super important to take care of the big wild fish for spawning purposes if nothing else. But you are exactly right, being caught is already tough on the fish so try to make it as easy as possible for them. And we did get a new catch cam net but it is the same as our old one that we lost in Colorado.

Thank you! That's almost since the beginning of when I really started seriously making the videos! But yes we both used floating line in this video. The water wasn't too high so we didn't think sinking line was necessary. We also had some weight on our streamers which helps out a lot.

You're dead right about the need to keep them out of the water for minimum periods. It's important to not squeeze the area immediately behind the gills either - it does an awful lot of harm to the fish.
