More goodness from street shopping. It's good when you can get dismantled trampolines and other pipe pieces to fill up. Always fun wandering the piles with you. 👍
Good work bro. I think you need a few sheets of Corflute on the front of the trailer to prevent pipes and tube from getting stuck in the mesh. Smooth as butter.
I can't get over the amount of toasters that you find! That must be the most replaced appliance in Australia. At around 10:50 you cut the cord on a radio, the antennas on those are chrome plated brass and they just snap right off.
Your routes are so crazy good. So many good piles. I can't believe there are not more people scrapping down under. I think you need a bigger trailer! How many trips to the yard do you make on average per day?
Yes very fortunate over here Nacho. I’m not full time so I take a load of scrap steel in twice a week. I’ve been contemplating a bigger trailer though the cons outweigh the pros at the moment. Thanks mate 🙏🤙
Yeah I’ll have to sell it as it doesn’t fit well in our sliding door. Sorry bro but gotta make sure sometimes. I’ll practice doing less laps 😅 cheers Jamie 🍻🤙
Hey Poly, Great run and good return. Unloaded yesterday and got 260 for the load and headed back out with the ute only and scored a few micro's and a heap of bed heads and rails, loaded back up last night but only expecting maybe 100 or so. I did do a video of unloading and then the battery died in the GPro. I have just printed out a few more maps for pickup which is really close to home. I do work a full time job and doing this in the arvo and weekends and also my other hobbies, I am flat out like a lizard drinking
Wow what a score. Fantastic!! You got some great stuff. I can’t believe the stuff they throw out. Those chairs are great. You work so hard. Love watching your videos always a great haul. Thanks for sharing.
Good job hun. Love watching your videos they make a calm space in my head. 🤗 Good to see. Nacho stuff commenting yesterday! I told him ages ago to come look at your trailer, when he worked out of his van! He’s one of my favourite people too. 💙
Poly...the pouch baby stroller is a Australian favorite, sometimes take the extra few minutes and go line to see what the strollers in your market are going for.a few extra hundred quid would make the week extra special.
I'm amazed by the size of these garbage piles, I live near Boston Ma. we can only put out one container per week and have to recycle, everything else is left on the curb by the garbage men.
Hey Al. We get two bulky item pick ups twice a year in my area. As you can see a lot of it doesn’t need to be thrown out. We have multiple options before booking a pick up. Thanks for watching mate 🙏🤙
Keeping other scrappers in the know about Poly Prophet. There are scrappers that really do well, but they are out there and they are doing really hard work. We can talk about recycling, but scrappers are being busy keeping the goods out of the landfills. Be safe, keep hydrated.
A great load for sure mate, interesting that people throw away something like a salt lamp, I always thought it would be easy to sell them, but maybe not 👍👍😊
It had a blown bulb so I guess easier to throw it out?! I’ve never sold one but it looks like it’ll sell easily. I might keep it though. It looks nice lit up. Thanks for dropping by 🙏🤙
@@PolyProphet Quite a statement for modern day people that they throw out a lamp with a blown bulb 😅 Oh well, at the end of the day, that's how we make money, so why complain? 👍👍😊
Very well! I sell non ferrous maybe once a month. Usually dirty aluminium, domestic aluminium and stainless steel as these take up a lot of space. The rest I’m saving for when I visit ewaste Ben, I’ll also visit Manhari scrapyard near him 🤙🤙
Love your channel I was just wondering when you get alot of those straight light weight poles in a picking pile , i think they are helium steel ? All the silver ones you got - could you bunch alot together , chuck a bungy around them , then take a bulk lot to the trailor ? Fewer trips ?😊
@@PolyProphet in Queensland you need to have anything on the road registered so I was wondering why you haven’t been stopped for not having a proper number plate, anyway I’m not from Victoria so who knows
@@scrapitaus ahh I see. In VIC my 6x4 trailer only needs my plate clearly displayed. Anything bigger needs rego. Smarter people in these comments might correct me but I’m pretty sure that’s it. I’m torn on upgrading my trailer partly for this reason. This setup is a lot of fun at the moment 👌
I haven’t been doing this for long but the last 2 years has been like this. I’m sure we will eventually fall in-line with other states who don’t allow electrical in their hard rubbish. Until that day though mike, you know where to find me 😉🤙
Hey, I am a Canadian hobby scrapper, and I always get paid in cash when I drop off my scrap at the yard. I was wondering if you get paid in cash or the money is immediately send to your account?
At this yard they pay into my account. I’ve been to one yard here that’ll pay cash but it’s always at a lower rate. Thanks for the question and cheers for watching Alex! 🍻🙏🤙
@@ScrapMetalTV. yes Dandenong. Check out their website it’ll have times and cost. I think Ute and trailer is a space and a half. Sellers arrive at 6am to set up. Maybe we can time it for the same Sunday 😁
@Poly Prophet Nice video as always you work very hard you need not to go to the gym that`s enough.I see that you don`t pick up tvs,if the screen is broken there are parts you can salvage and make money from,(the SART TVS)the mainboard,T-con board, power board and the backlight strips and i see in this video you left the sportlight some of them can sell for good money,What you`re not sure of the value pick it up go home and do some research.
Hey Links. I sometimes pick up CRTs for their copper but rarely flatscreens. It’s the time and space dilemma. Good call on taking things I’m unsure of home to research 👍👍
I’ve never used one tbh so wasn’t sure what I was looking at. I looked up the recent solds in aus but there wasn’t enough data to convince me on taking it. Thanks for the advice alexander 🙏🤙
