I found your channel a couple days ago, I'm loving it. Very well filmed, and I absolutely love the research and context you provide with each find. I was a field archaeologist working in Roman Palestine for 10 seasons, but I'm not as familiar with Roman Britain, so I really appreciate the hard work you undertake and share with us!
So many years of history in one place! The details and history behind Roman coins always fascinate me, thanks for taking us with you on your adventures 🙂
The Roman coin propaganda has to be one of our favourite areas to research! 😂 Every new design we come across is an exciting addition to the collection! Thanks for watching! 🤎
Ah, finally got here. Been a long day, and to spend a little time relaxing with you rounds off the day nicely. Even in the rain... LOL Great to see so much roman turning up. But I don't think any day detecting without 20th century coinage would be finished. And an immaculate shilling is a stunning way to go. You know what else makes me smile? Seeing young ladies getting right in the mud instead of shying away from a bit of dirt. My old darling and all my kids would often come fishing with me, and from the off they'd be found with their hand in the maggots. Mind you, they were slow to get in the chopped up worms.... Hehehe... Even now my baby girl, 36 year old still enjoys getting mucky, and her friends frown at her. (Wonder why?) Thank you again for allowing us to follow you on these adventures, even while we can't physically go. Bit like watching air shows and fishing on you tube. Minor substitutes for actually being there and doing it, but far better than nothing. Take care sweet ladies. TTFN
I love how one can scratch the surface of Britain and history just oozes out. I've become such a dirt junkie and am a big fan of your digs. Thanks a big bunch! Top drawer stuff.
Thanks for tuning in Renee! It’s really quite mind blowing how much history is in the UK! Can’t wait til this field is ploughed, hopefully a lot more to find.🤞
@@RomanFound While on a remote Greek island years ago and walking around a very public place I found 2 Greek coins with barely distinguishable faces on them. I was stunned!
,vi scrivo in italiano: complimenti per l'attenzione nel recuperare i reperti e la loro storia. Immagini come queste si vedono poco. I wish you good research in history and good luck.🙏 Ciao.
Interesting and fascinating work. So much historical objects in those fields, here i Canada the only thing i found was an arrow point probably thousand years old.
It’s great to see women getting thick of clarts and mud. When I started 45 years ago there was non to be seen lol. Those late Roman coins are always crappy and apart from a small hoard I found years ago the rest got binned. Hopefully better days ahead for you
All Constans' rivals were killed under obscure circumstances...man I think I would have dreaded being born to an Emperor, knowing someday someone might off me. You gals do such a great job bringing history to life, thank you! :-)
It was a dangerous game in the Roman aristocracy! Always a vicious killing around the corner 🤣 glad you’re loving the history we could share with you ❤️
