It’s a shame the Roman remains aren’t conserved, they are looking in a sorry state these days. There are remains of the west entrance to the Roman city behind the Strugglers Inn on Westgate. They were unearthed and damaged in the Victorian times, by a landlord trying to create extra space digging into the castle’s defensive bank.
Thought you might have mentioned the very strong claim for Colchester being the site of Camelot - Camulô-denum. The symbolic importance for "Arthur" to establish court at the original Roman capital in order to reunite the country behind him is obvious.
Thank you so much for this fascinating tour. I particularly enjoyed looking at the curse offerings, which I knew about but had never seen images of. I must make time to do more reading about them. The statues are extraordinary. And I enjoyed your review of the spring water.
I just saw a video about the roman dodecahedron on RU-vid Amy Gaines channel. I don't know if you saw it but it's very interesting. I love your nice finding videos, have a good day. ❤
What a great video of Bath, and the surrounding area, providing a lot of detail of the way of life of the Romans. This gave a lot of details that I didn’t get find out when I visited Bath. Great job! PS. You ladies are cute!
Great top 10. I am 18 months in and my No. 1 would have been your No. 9. ! Great land, great technique and love your delivery. You know your stuff. ❤.... loving the chat.

For that period of time this is not a biggest size...in UK might be...but in other european countries was minted more heavy COPPER weight...because of copper become more % in trading turnover than silver....even people dont like to accept copper , people began to catch silver into treasures save.
Love following your films!!! ❤ My latest video of my alter-ego, the bumbling Professor Crusty Trenches, is out now, it has many, many Roman sites in it... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eUlkqRpzjE0.htmlsi=pcoQnYSAZ2wTY0bn
Great video. I live in the city & thought I knew most of the ruins but you guys pointed out some stuff I didn’t know about. There are some more parts of the Roman walls in some of the gardens in the back streets that aren’t on the map. If you come again I’ll happily show you ✌️
I have one of them. When I was roughly 10, I was kicking over some gravel as I walked and found it only 100m from my home. Im 38 now, but I still have it
Spoiler... They are not at all rare and not worth much unless they are in pretty good condition. I have seen loads on Ebay starting at a pound. Careful, there are lots of fakes.
