I know this is an older video, but I was so hoping you had gotten all the little Golden Books. Grandparents and parents would have bought them at the flea market surely!! Oh well, next time. Love your videos. I've been binge watching them!! You go girl!!
I’ve been binge watching your videos! They are so nice! As a Nana, I admire you for many things! You are thrifty and you have no crazy body piercings! You might have your ears pierced, which is fine. I hate to see all other piercings, especially the nose and around the eyes! I love your channel and twice I’ve watched your videos ALL night! Good luck with your buying, your sales, and ALL! 💕
I made those same costumes for my kids in the 80's, It was an old pattern given to me from an aunt. I remember my sewing machine broke, so I actually stitched them by hand! TFS Hugs!
Isnt it lovely when you find old books/annuals, posters and toys that you, your siblings and friends had when you were a child 😊 (70s early 80s for me) 🙄 i very often buy old toys and books i find in charity shops, i found an old wind up Evil Canevel motorbike and ramp my brother had as a child (he got it one christmas and it was his favourite toy ever) so i bought it and gave it to him for his 40th Birthday 😁 it was very expensive though!!! But he was so excited when i gave it him and the price was worth it just to see the huge SMILE on his face!!! xXx
Those church sales r brutal!!!! So much stuff for nothing!!!!! Good stuff too! I told/showed all my friends, now they r going religiously!🤣 You can get the best of everything for nothing!❤❤❤❤
That was a FABULOUS sale!!! It's good I read thru the comments before writing, because I was going to yell at you for not buying that 50c witch. That was the best find, aside from the clown costumes. The hat you wore needs a wig under it, but for 1 dollar?!?! Great finds! You have lots of time to plan a party & get some friends to dress up with you. Please go back to the sale & buy some more vintage Halloween & toys. I loved those bags with the small figures.
The fish is American Bisque Co. They made chicks and pigs too. You normally see them in yellow or cream so you found a great color. The vintage Rudolph stocking was adorable..I would have kept that too!
Wow! What an incredible collection of Holiday items! I remember those "Little Golden Books" from my childhood days. Got one of those duck rattles from my young days. That "Five Little Firemen" Golden Book was one of my favorites...been looking for that one for decades! Will have to Google and see if I can locate a copy. Ain't you got fun...getting treasures. Never know what will turn up...that's the fun! Nice mix of items.
Being the crazy cat lady my favorite was the kitty planter you are going to save for Halloween decor. Great fun to watch and I hope you get to go back.
Looked like the clown costumes may have been made for a family..Mom/Dad and Child. That is cool. You always find such wonderful items and your enthusiasm is very refreshing! Good luck in your future treasure hunts!
Wow I’ve been in antique malls with less stuff than that. Amazing. Wish I were there. Lol. I’d be crushing it too. Love all your videos. Your intro always makes me smile.
Nice find with the Bennington pottery. I have been to the store located in Bennington VT. Very cool. They have been around forever. I once found a set of their brown pottery door knobs. I think I gave them to my brother for his house. Love your videos! You always find such great items!
Great haul! Those Golden Books were a major flashback to my childhood. My Gram only had a few, so we read them over and over again!!! The Saggy Baggy Elephant was one of them. Thanks for the memories. ❤
Love your hair cut. What a great sale! Really like your comfortable, easy way of talking on your vids. Let us know the outcome of selling the Bennington pottery. Do go back. With more boxes turned out you will probably see things you didn't see before. Good luck!
First Renee you look more prettier with your hair longer also makes you look younger not that you’re old. My favourite piece was the jester outfit xx❤️🙏🏻🇬🇧
I used to collect Little Golden Books and I made great use of Collecting Little Golden Books by Steve Santi. You can get it on Amazon fairly cheaply. It's great for understanding dating and how the books were numbered. Many have been reprinted and this guide book helps with that.
I lol'd @ the megaphone part!!!🤣😂🤣👍👍👍 I don't know if I like you're hair shorter, or longer!!!😄😄😄 I think it looks great both ways!!!👍👍👍 I have shoulder envy, btw. :/ you'd think as much as 3 of the 4 kids burden me w crap, they'd look like yours!!!😄😄😄 BUT NOPE!!!😥😥😥😁
I enjoyed this video so much , the fish planter reminded me of the movie Mr Limpet with Don Knotts. The old mirror was nice but for some reason mirrors tend to freak me out.. lol. Great finds all together 😊
Wish we had that kind of church sale here in Western Kentucky 😭I collect all kind of costumes from thrift shopping. Ive been doing this for years. I have a attic walk in closet full. Lots of friends and family dress up every year from that closet. Love you clown costumes I depending on the size of them you could dress a whole family. Thanks so much for sharing this with me! I love you hauls.
Hey Renee, I was going to say you could be joker from a pack of cards, have giant cards taped to your costume. Or a joker to entertain the king with your silliness.
Love 😍 love ❤️ love 😻 the new haircut‼️ It is so "YOU", in that it totally becomes you! Also love your videos, its great fun to tag along with you while treasure seeking! I so much appreciate your hard work creating the great entertainment that you provide-thank you‼️‼️
This was the first time I've been to this sale, so next year I'm going to be more prepared and have a game plan. I missed a few tents, so need to make sure I get to them next year!
@@PaperandMoose I think I need to plan my next year holiday now and join you. That would be so fun, I live in Toronto (yay Raptors, We the North. 😆) not so far from you really, for V-cay. My bag will have wheels for sure. Maybe that's your big hunt, the best bag on wheels for flea market and auctions.
The costumes ♥️ Love Little Golden Books. I can't imagine how overwhelming that sale must have been. You and Taco must have been at the same sale! The fish!! I Love that green Bennington Pottery dish!!! That would have a permanent place here. And your 2.00 box of ephemera!! Great morning!! Did you go back?? Have a wonderful weekend!! Happy hunting🎉.
Hi Renee!! My late Mother LOVED vintage paper! I must have inherited that gene. I collect 1940-50’s greeting cards, especially Christmas. I enjoy your videos very much. I live in the Louisville, KY area, and can’t find any sales with vintage stuff! I moved here from IL-and knew my town inside and out and the estate sale people. In fact, I bought the house at an estate sale!!! Looking forward to your next video!!
That makes for a great story that you bought your house at an estate sale! The old Christmas greeting cards have such colorful, cute designs and images, they make for a great collection.
I'd love to trade addresses with you-let me know anything specific you're looking for, and I'd do the same. You would think being 20 miles from an old city like Louisville, I'd have better luck finding old stuff. I have one place I go to, I'll have to ask the owner if he knows any big church type sales.
My friends Grandmother had those vtg Christmas candy jars. It was the late 60,s early 70,s when i saw them at her house. I love vtg Christmas. I have a snowman like you got at the sale mine is a little different.
If you check out my video "Decorating with Vintage Finds", I show you some of the ways that I've decorated in the past with the items I find at the flea market, estate sales, etc.
Renee, the way you love the holidays, you must have had a wonderful childhood. I just wish I had all the Halloween stuff left from 7 children in my family. We had cloth jumpsuit like costumes (1960s). The elephant was my favorite! Our candy bags were wonderful!
Holidays were always a big thing when I was growing up! Often times I still feel like I'm 8 years old, but that makes for a fun life. I wish I would still have my costumes from the 80s. Somehow I kept everything else but those seemed to disappear!
Renee what a great, fun, and profitable sale. I can't wait to see you dressed up for Halloween. Lol So much fun in your reveal today. Thanks for taking us along!
6:17 flippin hippos would go nuts. I saw tacos video then ran over here, glad i did you do alot more rummaging. Thank you. Taco is very specific in what he wants so you dont get to see as much. But then again your not picking up hammers and hatchets.
What a great sale! I believe that costume at the 24:00 mark is a Joker's costume, looks like the joker you would see in a deck of cards. You found some great things.
Love pretty much everything you found! I found the snowman jar with foam head/lid in the Goodwill bins last year, with original box! Didn't know there was a santa version, I love that!
OMG! Those clown suits! I would not let them go cheap! Very collectible! But yes, keep that one for yourself! You looked like a doll in that hat and collar! 😁📃&🦌🤡
@@PaperandMoose ...those reminded me more of vintage mime costumes from the 70s & 80s...I found a few of those mime porcelain pieces just recently, and you also had the right idea for the makeup too! So cute! 😁
Dot, Archery brings back memories! I now got to go get in my attic, I know I have Archery comics, etc. 😁 great fines! P. S. You looked cute in that clown costume . ~ Texas
That was a good eclectic collection of treasures. You picked up a green Christmas sleigh that looked cute, was it not vintage? It looked like your ceramic Christmas tree. I love those candle angels and the napkin rings. The costumes are unique for Halloween for sure and some of the graphics on the sheet music looked amazing. Such a great purchase of things it's hard to comment on all and I'd definitely be going back, probably over the 3 days, for sure! Thank you for sharing.
The Christmas sleigh was vintage, but chipped more than I liked and those are somewhat more common to find so that is why I passed. Due to my schedule, I was unable to go back (which might be a good thing... I'm running out of room!)
@@PaperandMoose Ah it didn't obviously show on film but looked so cute. I'm the same, at least yours collections are smalls, my addiction are chairs lol
Was watching another flea market video and spied a white ceramic Christmas 🎄 tree. Accented with gold glitter ✨ on branches. Have you ever seen one like that?
Another good video! Years ago I went to some of these big church sales ( not this big) I never did that great but I think you did very good I bet the clown outfits will sell really well, I would have to sign them J. W. Gacey inside just for giggles. I thought you looked disturbingly cute in it. I’m always on the look out for 48 star flags especially WWII casket flags. Asked a seller at the flea market once how many stars is on the flag he was selling...Tells me...”Uhm I think 52” OK So you didn’t get the Happy Day Book “ How God Gives Us Chocolate “? I was hoping to find out too I got the one “ How God Gives Us Beer”
Hi Renee, Thanks for fun and informative videos. Where was the church rummage sale and how did you find it. I lived at the NJ shore and am always traveling and looking for church sales. Have you ever gone to the VNA sale in Far Hills NJ. It is in the spring and fall. One of the biggest sales ever.. thanks again,
I have friends that go to the VNA sale, but they have mixed reviews in regards as to whether or not it would a good sale for me to go to considering what I like to buy. This sale was near the Poconos in PA.
