In this restoration video I will restore ,I bought the searing iron from a flea market cool looking tool when I asked him what it was for he said it was for vinyl work
It needed some restoration work before I could use it
It turns out he lied and was far from the truth .Wife was horrified and I have no desire to use it.
if you know museums or societies that have vintage stuff that want to be restored for free contact me
Help to fund the next project for a museum koji.to/k/6AxN thanks for your support

History deserves to be preserved! And this is where this instrument needs to be kept! Great work on the piece!

Well. You could use it as a giant soldering iron. Nice work on this one. I really like your technique at fixing the sheet metal.

As far as youtube video restorations of early 1900 castration and tail docking implements go, I can honestly say this was one of the best.

From experience, I think I'd rather castrate them with this. Cauterize the wound, less chance for fly strike, infection, or tetanus. And from what I've heard, heal faster. We banded our two pet calves. It was awful. The testes swelled, then rotted and the stench was horrible. Maggots got in there before they finally fell off. I'm glad we got them their tetanus shots. Both boys came out fine, lived to ripe old ages as pasture ornaments.

that's what the old farmer said about the New way, the old way give the animals less pain and heals from the moment that's its done
