I’m just trying to learn how to change the blade. I still learned something so 30 mins wasn’t entirely for nothing.

That turned out nicely. I have mine in the garage that is in the same shape yours was at the beginning. I got mine back in high school almost 30 year yeas ago. Back when everyone was making those "lady in the garden" plywood lawn decorations. I got the saw as a gift and I bought a folder full of other lawn decoration designs. I only made 3 or 4 before the saw went onto a shelf in my bedroom. I had no easy way to get plywood back then and all work had to be done on the porch. When I went off to college it went onto a workbench at my aunts. For at least 12 years it sat there mostly unused. My cousins might have tried using it once or twice but basically it just sat there gathering dust. I cleaned most of the dirt off when she had me take things out of her garage. And it ended up back on a shelf in my closet for another 10 or 12 years. So it has only 20 hours on it. Tops. I just hope nothing rusted away inside. I'd like to get it running again now that I actually have a workshop. It's a pretty heavy duty tool. Back when things were still made to last.

I did get mine from a yard sale for 5 bucks it works just got it out to clean it up,and your video was the first that came up

I just bought the same exact model the other day. New in box. $50. I have never used a stroll saw.

I have a sears scroll saw the on off has a slight delay. Looks like the switch is just fine.

I got one just like it at a garage sale a couple of years ago for fifteen dollars and it was like new. I downloaded the manual for it and it works great.

I acquired the exact same scroll saw but couldn't figure out how to install the blade. I was thrilled when I found your video but so disappointed when I realized after 30 minutes, you managed not to show how to install the blade.

It works great put a blade in cutting,but I still need pointers on blade installation and tension

Wish I could find tools my neighbor gave me an old circle saw that was not working I took it apart clean it and it works now I have a good working saw

Just bought this same scroll saw from Goodwill for $15. Question, what does the hose and the attachment it goes to do? Mine is missing and after watching your video, I don't see the reason for it being there. Could I use the scroll saw without it? Thanks!

Hello Kevin, I have a little newer Craftsman saw that looks similar but it has that hesitation on starting. Other than that it works great! Nice video.

Kevin ,yesterday I found a similar machine,I try to clean as best I can ,the machine work ,but I have two problem ,one the small hose is broken ,I don't know the mesure ,how I can get one,the second probelm is ,I don't know how instal the blade ,and what tipe of blade use. When I saw you video also I was confused, because I saw you baude a nail and you did something, l don't understand. I would like in the future you can post a new video with more detailed about this particular,please. Coulg you give me information where tu find any thing for this particular machine without serial, only what I know about is ( CRAFTSMAN 16" SCROLL SAW ) thak for your time .

I was just given a scroll saw by my neighbor. Model 236180. Looks about the same. Mine is mounted on a stand with a power control bar. I cannot get the old blade off. I have the manual. It's also missing that piece you made. Help?
