I feel the same on this deck, it instantly became a very strong and personal deck for me and I have the same experience as you with CBR decks. So gorgeous and special and I’m glad you got it!
First of all - you could read the dictionary and I would watch and love it. Your energy lifts my day - thank you so much (as always) for your efforts always. Second...hitting buy now ;) xo much love always.
Thank you always for your beautiful reviews. I too am deeply in love with Tarot of Vampyres. I made a huge mistake of letting someone touch the deck and it doesn't feel the same. I am seriously considering buying another deck just for me. This deck looks fantastic! On my list. Thank you Raecine!
I like Collette Baron-Reid's decks because they're straight no chaser. She will show you both sides keeping the balance which I appreciate. Her decks are not all love and light. She taps into the dark as well, which is realistic. She doesn't coddle our fantasies. She's real. Good and honest review. Thanks.
Great video. I just received this deck and I am loving it. I was wondering what your take is on a healthy mind and body lifestyle leading to better experiences with all things of a spiritual nature?
It looks beautiful. Thanks for the review, I totally missed the release of this deck. What do you think of Alana's new deck? Also I love hearing the seagulls in the background.
I get your point about the b/w illustrations, but they give me another perspective on the visual showing the contrasting lights and darks being portrayed and adding another layer of introspection - also it forces me to see the shapes without the distraction of the colors :)
The South American feel comes from Villoldo and btw the double "l" in his name is pronounced as a "y". Colette's latest deck continues to have those little booklet guidebooks. Hay House has lost my business and I basically buy Llewellyn and Blue Angel decks almost exclusively, with the exception of those like the Faeries' Oracle which is a Simon & Schuster deck. These days those little booklet guide books are unacceptable to me. But Colette is a hard worker and creates great decks.
I purchased this deck several weeks ago and using it with my partner. I'm having trouble with it. The spreads seem to be contradicting to the cards when I work with them and I am having trouble getting clear answers to my questions. We are really trying to give this deck a chance, anyone else feel this way?
Heart of Faerie was my first and most loved deck, but I lost it in a move, and now it seems that deck is out of print. At the very least, it's out of stock online and I'm absolutely heartbroken!
i remember that you talked about working with some decks with your ex as well. how do you find these men that like card work?! :D i swear, every boyfriend i've had has been uninterested in spirituality, often thinking they're "too smart" to do woo-woo stuff. meh.thanks for shwing us this deck. i'm glad it appeals to you so much. fun to see something other than native north american i must say, this feels a bit different.
I've been tapped on the shoulder a lot over the last two years to look deeper into Shamanism, but I'm pretty much alone in that area. No one to really talk to about it near where I live. Am curious to know if you there's a book you can recommend for someone just beginning on this path. Thank you for reviewing this deck. I saw the Jaguar as well (I have a black one for an animal guide) and immediately burst into tears of joy! :D Your videos help inspire me to go deeper into my path working.
Hi there. My library consists of books of shamanic practices around the world. Here are several that come to mind to get you started. Shamanism for Beginners by Endredy; Spirit Walking by Rysdyk; The Sacred by Beck, Walter & Francisco; Life's Companion by Baldwin; City Magick by Penczak; The Way of Wyrd by Bates; Urban Shamanism by King; Spirit Clans by Carson; Shamanism as a Spiritual Practice for Daily Life by Cowen; The Power of Myth by Campbell; Shamanic Journeying by Ingerman; Of Water and The Spirit by Some. May your journey unfold in a beautifully, blessed fashion. Peace
Wow! Great listing there. Thank you for taking the time. In going through some stored books, it turns out I found two of the ones you mentioned above, so that's awesome. I will also check out the others mentioned as some of the titles really leapt out at me. Thanks again!
I am still on the fence. Like you, I have a love hate relationship with CBR and I tend to give anything touting itself as "shamanistic" the side eye. I do wish creators were more exploratory in the information they glean from other cultures by becoming a bit more knowledgeable and paying homage instead of providing information from a "spectators" point of view. I'll sit with the deck for a bit, after all it may be to much of a problem to request a refund. Thank you for your review.
You all prolly dont give a shit but does someone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb forgot the password. I love any tips you can offer me!
@Colby Benton thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im in the hacking process now. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
I've really struggled with Colette's decks and messages. I got the Wisdom of the Oracle and what bothered me the most was the pushy and preachy way she writes. :/ I had to let it go in a trade, it was almost offensive. And the creepy face in every card was not my cup of tea lol. This one looks better but I still can't vibe with her. I'm waiting for the Sacred Earth Oracle and the Earth Warrior Oracle to arrive, they're a bit similar to this I think. :)
