The Three Stooges are iconic both on the big screen and on Television. They are one of the greatest comedy teams of all kind. I have decided to run through some interesting facts, bloopers, flubs, production notes, and HARD TO BELIEVE INFORMATION! I

My fave part of this episode is actually where after Moe proclaims to be a kissing expert, all 3 turn out to be adorably sheepish and polite with the 3 bombshell gals, giving little kisses on the cheek... except for Curly. 💋 Like, for as uncouth and rowdy as they may be, they still know how to treat ladies. It’s genuinely sweet. 🍬

Good job here, Rick. Moe says a line when the three are in the boxcar that's a classic. Curly asks him how they'll ever get in pictures, since they know nothing about making movies. Moe responds "There's a couple thousand people making pictures now that don't know nothing, three more won't make any difference."

The Carnation Pictures sign spoofed the brand name and slogan of Carnation Evaporated Milk ("From Contented Cows"). And in the scene of the Stooges trying to crash the gates, Curly says one of my all-time fave lines in Stoogedom: "Soitently! If at foist ya don't succeed, keep on suckin' til ya do suck seed!"

One more interesting fact: the actress who Curly "replaces" is Mildred Harris, a former child star of the teens and also the first wife of Charlie Chaplin.

At 5:05 Rick (with the hands) Lucy incorporated this into the Richard Burton-Elizabeth Taylor episode of 'Here's Lucy' in 1970, and it was one of the series' best episodes, I think.

Love this short. Only the stooges would travel to CA to be in pictures in a box car with all the comforts of home. Love the pancake scene and as usual, Moe gets it.

I love it when Curly has John Barrymore’s photo on the wall of the box car (Barrymore was known as “The Great Profile”). Curly throws his head back, shows off his own profile and asks Moe and Larry, “Hey, fellas, ain’t I gettin’ to look more and more like Barrymore?”

Man the timing had to be just right in the last scene where the car pulls out and the other car coming down the street had to swerve to avoid it at the last second.
