It's one of my favorites as a kid of the 50s/60s. Most of our shows then were westerns. I say bring these old shows back, no remakes. Best television ever.
I was just telling my wife that during my trip to Los Angeles for nine weeks back in 1973 (I was 21 on a company trip) I was on the lookout for 'stars'. All the driving and walking I did only produced one almost certain sighting. Will Hutchins, while I was walking on Sunset Boulevard one day in Hollywood. I loved it. He walked by and I turned around and watched him walking away but I didn't bother him. Even without the star sightings, it was a pretty exciting time for a young man's first trip outside of Ohio. I loved the show!
Why aren't there any full episodes available? They're just teasing us, here. I loved this show. It was kind of like Kung Fu (with Carradine), or like Columbo (Faulk) years later; bad guys would underestimate him for most of the show, but by the end he'd kick their ass. That turning of the tables always thrilled me. I demand more Sugarfoot!!!
Based on " the boy from oklahoma" with will Roger's 1953. This episode is" Brannigan's Boots" 9/57. I was in 6th grade, great memories and will Hutchins may be the last WB TV star left at 90
I know that I saw this years ago but somehow or another totally forgot about it and watching it now it all comes back to my memory. Yes I used to watch this show and it was a good show. God bless the producers of the show and please read my other comments under this website. Peter the pumpkin eater
Sugarfoot and Tenderfoot. SugarFoot. Will Hutchins. I was fond of this show but something about its name when shown in Great Britain. When the series was initially screened in Britain on BBC television, it was called "Tenderfoot", but it was later shown on ITV under its original title. Boss Cat and Top Cat like. Franchises I suppose. Does an else get to play Bill Bonney? Dennis Hopper. Tom Brewster didn't need help from my recollection. He was just a gentle cowboy. Dash of Cherry? A Sody Pop Man like Shane.
I'm looking for the episode of sugarfoot with Pernell Roberts. I'm not sure, but the name of the episode is "Man Wanted". Does somebody knows the S# and the E#? Or the episode link? Thank you...!!!
Misfire, Guest Stars -- Pernell Roberts, Connie Stevens, Frank Albertson, and a cameo by James Garner (as Bret Maverick). I think it was the first season. As a kid in '57, I wasn't too keen on westerns. Twilight Zone, Rescue 8, Alfred Hitchcock, Whirlybirds, Sky King, and Men Into Space was more my style. Too many westerns during this period. Like cop shows lately.
So its just trailers ? Warner cant show free these old shows when most of the cast & crew are dead ? That's funny . they must know their current output isn't worth anything.
It's an ok show with an ok premise. However, overall looking back and thinking on the 1960s and 70s I cannot believe the incredible amount of time I wasted on TV series just like this. Shows like the Rifleman, Combat, Have Gun will Travel, Bonanza, The Rebel, Rawhide -- not bad per se but what a waste of time.
CaptainQueue, as opposed to the high quality TV of today ..i.r. The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Housewives of (fill in the blank), Big Brother, the Kardashians and on and on and nauseum
