Bula to all of you , just came across this by chance and loving it . These dishes look so delicious. I have a lot to learn about the new Fijian / Indian cuisine it’s totally different to when I was growing up back in Ba . Being away from the country for 45 odd years my palette is very European. These choices are very healthy compared to what it used to be . Vinaka.

I must say I am a bit embarrassed that I haven’t been to Fiji in 15 years. As for the Fijian and Indian cuisine I am not a cook so not so sure about the changes in the recipes and ingredients but the preparation and presentation has definitely changed.
But it is taken away from Fiji for a way to cheap price, nice cooking skills do chefs have despite from India, being well integrated into the Fijian culture.
Fijians are Brown people the US said racistly, but NEVER from India. Some came thanks to the British there, others are native Oceanians with a rich culture.
