Season 1, Episode 2: The Schmaltz (YidLife Crisis) 

My parents, and 3 sisters and 2 brothers were killed in kosovo, after 3 months I found out my entire blood line was killed. I was smuggled at 7 yrs old out of country by jewish family and lived in the mountains with the grandmother and grandfather for 8 months I hid and cried even when soldier came to our mountain village. I was moved in with jewish family in n.y.c. they brought me up as one of there own child, I learned to speak yiddish as well as english in schule. I am so thankful for my yiddish saviours . That I would like to show my love for them. I watch

Ah, brings back memories of my parents, grandparents, & all the yentas of Brighton Beach, my hometown! Shame they never taught me Yiddish, but I assimilated a few words here & there.

I loved Episode 1. Sadly, my breaking the Yom Kippur fast several years ago was not unlike that episode. A group of us ended up in a Vietnamese restaurant; and momentarily forgetting the reason underlying our restaurant visit I ordered a dish which included shrimp. Only once I started eating it did my sister, with incredulity, point out the error of my ways. We had a huge laugh.

Chaimie gets it. He understands life. Beyond that, I'm going to have to plead the 5th. :insert wicked grin here:
