THANK YOU for this comparison! I was curious about it myself. It was weird in the Season 2 opener, there were some truly BAD faux VHS effects before the intro - which excels at all the noise and grunge. I wonder how it got overlooked, because the overall intro itself has a lot of attention to detail.
