Lovely bike, those unit engines always look very neat and nicely finished. Sounds fantastic too, and being a sheet metalworker I can appreciate the work in the Aly tank. Very nice. Thanks 👍
My first exposure to British bikes was a 66' Hornet, got burned in my brain real good. This may be the best sounding bike I've heard on your show, just fabulous!
Sunday morning for me, and the beer I will have this afternoon is a Brown Bomber. The QD hub is something the Japanese didn't reinvent, it was a real bonus. K70's, they are better on gravel roads than knobs. The Power Egg, had the same layout as the A10, but a vast improvement when working on them.
Welcome back! They look like Dunlop K70 tyres. (Which are just about the best, IMO and I wish I could have found one of those for my AJS recently. I went with a K82.) If you're fond of honey beers, I can recommend Waggle Dance. Its not a porter but it is a refreshing beer, although it has been a while since I had any.
Beautiful bike. They’ll go nuts for that in Japan. I do hope you have some hearing protection for your wife, those end-of-pipe shots have to be brutal.
I have a 65’ Spitfire Hornet too. Now I want that tank! My original gel coat fiberglass just bit the dust this summer. 25 year rubber bladder gave way to ethanol. Back to my Lightning tank for now.
