I think you’re underrating Discipline and Holy Priest. Even if Shadowpriest is in the group, another priest is always good because another Power Infusion is so good with proper timing/groups. And remember, having mass dispel (or a second mass dispel if there’s already a shadowpriest) can be extremely valuable (Uldaman for example)
I played MW, RSham, HPriest and Presvoker in S3. Will probably start with Presvoker into s4, really enjoyed it lately and the new tier set is just amazing
Hpal at the moment feels doing too much work to do the bare minimum heal :/ Word of Glory feels like not even spot healing anymore just another spit of heal like holyshock would do while it is considered a spender 🤡
I have a geared ret pal and this weekend i did pug raids as holy since I havn't healed in a decade. About halfway through all the raids I did, I took Word of Glory off my bars completely since I would rather use light of dawn. And that sucks bc WoG can hit hard. My new way was just dps builders and LoD, and spot heals using shock and instant Holy Lights, occasionally Flash heal, but I did better trying to trim it all down to Light of dawn, shock, Cooldowns, and dps spells. Not using WoG helped me, lol. Had to change talents around but made a build that worked with it. In my brief experience the spec needs changes.
Been playing Hpal since I started playing wow during legion, genuinely feels like it’s identity got taken away recently. I don’t mind where it’s ranked as long as the game play is fun and the gameplay isn’t fun anymore. So I’m deciding between resto shaman and MW monk
what this tier list really showing is how irrellevent the healer role is in dragonflight. Healer is picked based on Buffs and utility based on what group missing. the healing and damage is irrellevent compared to their counterparts. dont get me wrong i think you nailed tier list based on popularity.I think there only 3 viable healers this season which you nailed. and in top end it will be one and it will be piicked based off top dps and tank picks. what this tierlist is showcasing buffs force a very specific comp. you cant do highend M+ content on buffless classes. Blizzard truely needs rebalance Buffs and remove them from game. no one going to do highend keys withow Motw 3% vers DH debuff 5% magic 5% int Aug buffs vers/int Fort its just too much survability and damage to replace by any single dps spec. to replace int buff the class has to bring a minimum of 10% better damage that not counting throughput loss from healer. buff need to be removed from the game. I expect it to only get worse in war within. its going to force everyone to level all healers and guess meta,You wont know meta till dps meta is solved. which good luck blizzard loves buffing on mythic week.
It was always like this, healers are the ones who do the dirty work and sacrifice for the team (I had to play 3 different covenants in shadowlands, cause dps obviously couldn't be bothered helping the team)

I've had more difficulty getting and pushing my own key on Aug Evoker than any other spec. What could the reason for this be? Especially healers seem more difficult to find when queueing with aug, feels strange since it's so 'meta'.
IMO you have to have a good group for aug to be good when played optimally. Like if the tank and one DPS are slacking (significantly below expected DPS), Aug will be bad. I stopped playing it in PUGs for this reason because it was hard to count on good DPS from randoms. Most of the time, straight up damage will be better unless you know the group is decent. In the higher end keys when you can count on better players, Aug looks way better.
I second the previous response. I play aug as my alt, and I only go with decent groups. Otherwise, I lose my mind. A lock or hunter backpeddling to Narnia as I try to position myself to buff them. Naaah, I'd rather be a masochist healer.
barrier needs reduced cd for disc priest; holy priest needs gcd’s reduced or boost reduction to gcd they get from haste points and the heron talents coming are absolute crap for holy in next xpac right now.. turning holy into a moonkin/rogue version of healing.. which totally breaks holy priest class 🤦♂️😡
I'm holding out hope that blizzard wanted to get the nerfs out before the season started and there will be buffs coming to other classes during the season to try to shake things up. I just can't fathom how they think no VDH changes are needed.
Its not only a meme season, it will be the shortest season ever. With Mop remix on may 15, the playerbase for m+ will drop so hard, that this season will be unplayable after the remix release. But I´m very glad to hear that mistweaver it still viable, cause I rerolled on it two weeks a ago, and it makes so much fun, thats insane.
nice to see how blizzard continues to focus on healers with nerfs instead of dps and tanks. with the result that the highest keys are currently closed with 4 dps without healer. my prediction is that to make up for this event the blizzard will greatly buff the damage in the m+ so as to force people to bring the healer, but the latter will have to deal with this enormous damage with all these nerfs on the back, making the lives of the healer even more stressful and difficult. gj blizzard, this is the fastest way to get people to quit the healer role.
Healers only play dps for a few minutes at the start of a key then swap back to healing after a few trash packs (and sometimes a low healing required boss). Fully 4 dpsing a top end key is not even close to doable
As mentioned in the other reply, the only reason it shows 4 dps with no healer is because they need to blast down the first pack or 2 as fast as possible for time, and if there isnt a healer check, like first BRH pull, its safe to. Therefore it logs as no healer. Some healers pop in and out in BRH after 2nd boss on the ring, that ring isnt a healer check so the healer goes dps to kill it as fast as possible.
@@grundesakariassen1885yup. People just look at rio logs and don't check out the VOD to see what is actually going on. Aug and spriest helps the healer a lot, but most bosses in top 100 keys are NOT doable without a dedicated healer lmao
What if a very small percentage manages to do a key without a healer. What does it really tell the rest of the playerbase and should we buff/nerf because of this reason? Imo no, there's a different breed of players at the highest of highest keys
I have a ilvl480 resto druid and a ilvl480 resto shaman. With shaman i can easily heal a pug group at lvl20 keys, but i cant heal pugs at lvl 17 with druid. I know im not a good player, but i have no idea how the resto druid can be an "S" tier healer. Of course they can dps, but how do that if i cant heal the group? :(
Pugs are inherently difficult for druid. It's reactive so anytime damage comes in unexpectedly(which happens a lot with pugs) than druid has to struggle to get everyone up again. It doesn't help that dragonflight is extremely punishing when people are hit with avoidable damage.
I like theese videos I watch meta videos but play what I like and got good my holy priest been out healing alot of resto druids and my frost dk been hitting highet dps than alot shadow priest in my groups playing meta classes doesnt make people meta players this is at mid keys higher keys i think it does matter but have fun
Guardian druid, 3.2k rio, and not getting invited for 5 keys because i aint a DH xDthey are 1k rio themselfs lol i tried pugging 1 evening and immediatley stopped again. i rather play a different game then pug in wow xD its hilarious
Imagine nerfing resto druids lul. Every time I try to join a raiding guild with good players I get benched because my class somehow always ends up being shit in raids. I played in WoD as RDruid and couldn't get into raids so I hit 2500+ in every arena bracket and quit. I got back into the game again last season after a 10 year break. I joined my friends mythic raiding guild and we got stuck on smolderon and my healing was pure shit compared to every other healer. I couldn't compete even with better gear and I went oom with 2-3 minutes left on every fight and I had world 1st parse dps in my group so I decided to learn Mythic+ and hit 3300 for my first season all pugs as a tauren. I'm already feeling like uninstalling this game and playing something else. The best healer in my guild was a Resto Shaman btw and it wasn't even fair to the other healers. The guy didn't even do mythic+ at all and had bad gear but his healing in raids was absolutely broken and needed a nerf.

This will be the worst season of m+ so far. Repetetive boring dungeons with same affixes , it looks like season 3 never ends. 😢. I was really hoping for new rotation some dungeons from old versions of game. It is just sad. Ptsd from incorporial, afflicted etc…

My only caveat is with discipline priests. I've been playing discipline priests since the burning crusades. When I tell you that a good, a truly genuinely good disc priest will make it look like your group's barely even taking damage, while also being probably number three DPS. Sometimes? A good discipline. Priest knows the fight. It knows the the trash mobs it sees all of the bullshit casts that are going to go off. Off it can tell who's being targeted and with and a good discipline. Priest always always always has their healing bubbles ready to go for everyone at a moment's notice because they already know where the damage is coming from. I feel like as an exclusion not as a rule. This crease is pretty much always an s-tier healer.
@@erichall090909 let me reiterate, I have been playing discipline breeze for almost 13 years straight. You just don't have the right stat priority. You want 30% critical strike, 20 % haste and 40% or more of mastery. Plus the appropriate talents, suddenly your smite is putting 15-25k bubbles on your party every other cast.....at the end of my M+23, most of my healing is done via absorbs. Honestly, I'd get more crit but it would cost me more haste which is bad lol. Also I somehow have 15% vers.
