Were back on (not to mention IN) the air! In our season five premiere, Carlos has his first hands on experience with the world of aerobatic flight, in a Cessna of all things!
With the help of experienced pilot and aerobatics instructor John Hughes and the Peninsula Aero Club at Tyabb Airport, Carlos is taken out over Port Phillip Bay and shown the ins, outs and arounds of some of the more tame exercises in aerobatic flight. Thankfully, Carlos and his lunch did not become separated.
APOLOGIES for the previous upload, RU-vid removed the audio. We have since remedied the situation so that you can enjoy the video in full effect.

Wow, that landing was hot as a firecracker and very flat. Looked like the nosewheel touched at the same time the mains did? Why no nose up landing on the mains holding the nose off? I like the stall warning blaring right at touchdown unless it super windy, then different technique is required.

The main difference between the C-150 and the C-152 is the C-152 has the Lycoming O-235 and the max gross weight was increased to 1,670 lbs. The C-150 has the O-200 and a max weight of 1,600 lbs. Another difference is the C-152’s flaps are limited to 30 degrees, while the C-150 can deflect to 40 degrees....i would never trust it as true areobatic. but folks do.

This is not a C-152. It is a C-152 aerobat. Both C-150's and C-152's came in acro-rated versions, and the structure is almost completely different in the wing root, struts, tail, and motor mount. Also has ceiling windows so you can see "over the top" while doing a loop. They also have break-away doors so you can bail out with a chute. Do not do aero in a regular c-150 or c-152.

This must not be here in the USA, as I believe that going beyond 90 deg in any axis requires every occupant to wear a parachute...

When carrying a non-required flight crew member or passenger, parachute must be worn by all occupants if exceeding 60 degrees of bank or 30 degrees of attitude.

Very rare that a Parachute saves anyone, but there was that incident where Sean D Tucker bailout at Lakeland, Florida's Sun 'n Fun Fly-In in 2006. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gm4dXC7aVzs.html I think the idea was left over from days where people took older aircraft and over stressed the air frames breaking a wing off they could bail out.
