So similar to the S4 Damage Testing clip, this is wearing all Topaz gems. 122M Tick Timetamp: 01:14 Just testing the upper limit of the build damage-wise on the boss dummy. In S5 PTR, the build suffers a Burning Instinct nerf from aroun 115%, down to 40% (new cap). In the tooltip, the loss during channel was seemingly around 40% (14.5M down to 8.7M)
Since Flame Shield uptime is improved and now the primary/only defensive, Barrier is no longer part of this late-game config (ie. inclusive of Harlequin and Starless). And as such, we are able to replace two glyphs with two new offensives-contributing to counter the BI Nerf.
- Removed: Destruction (Extra ChD, now useless) and Reinforced (DR while Barrier)
- Added: Pyromaniac (10%) and Elementalist (5%)
Along with the new +20% change in combustion passive, and now +4% per burning source, this seems to have recovered about as much as was lost.
But this is only toward the late-game min-max, and when invested in enough Flame Shield spec to use it as primary defense. Earlier on, the nerf will be felt more. Builds that rely on Ice Armor and DR will have much more difficulty to regain the damage loss.
